Chapter 103 You’ll Be Disappointed
After Natalie left, only Cedric and Isabella remained in the ward. The man stood up and covered Isabella
with the blanket.
When he spoke, his tone had lost all the coldness from before. He said apologetically, “I’m sorry; I
intended for her to apologize to you.”
He didn’t expect Natalie to be so unyielding. Despite everything she had done and witnessing Isabella’s
current state, she remained so stubborn!
When did her heart become so cold, to the point that he had no idea?
Isabella replied, “It’s okay. Please don’t argue for my sake anymore. I hope you both will be fine.”
Her words sounded genuine. Yet, she was well aware that the more she acted this way in front of Cedric,
the more he would resent Natalie.
“It’s impossible for there to be anything between us anymore! Cedric said just as Isabella finished
speaking.
He uttered those words without any hesitation.
Once so adamant about not divorcing Natalie, now he harbored so much hatred for her, to the point of believing that all the years with Natalie were a stain.
As this thought emerged, an inexplicable pain struck his heart. He didn’t even know where this pain originated from.
With how things were, he shouldn’t feel such pain for Natalie anymore.
Just when it seemed like the misunderstanding between Natalie and Cedric would be resolved, Isabella unexpectedly employed such a despicable move.
Natalie felt disdainful.
Getting entangled with someone like Cedric only brought bad things into her life.
this moment, Jocelyn arrived at the Johnson Manor. She appeared a bit slimmer after being absent for
Y days, and it was obvious that she hadn’t been doing well.
Rebecca still liked Jocelyn. So when Jocelyn took the initiative to approach, Rebecca readily accepted
her.
“You know, I’ve always liked you” Rebecca held Jocelyn’s hand and said.
Jocelyn blushed.
“About what happened with my parents, I apologize on their behalf.”
“Oh, you’re such a sweet child.”
Rebecca lovingly touched her cheek. The gesture appeared genuinely affectionate, like that of a caring
elder.
Christina stood at the corner of the stairs, her eyes filled with gloom!
Jocelyn continued, “I’ve talked to my parents about it. In the future, Ced and I…
“Don’t worry. I still would like to see you and Ced together,” Rebecca sincerely said.
Rebecca didn’t expect Jocelyn to be so persistent about Cedric, even after the embarrassment at the banquet and the unfavorable attitude of Jocelyn’s parents.
But now, Jocelyn had taken the initiative to visit Rebecca. It also sounded like she had the support of the Lambert family, which was why Rebecca naturally welcomed the development.
“Thank you, Aunt,” Jocelyn said and smiled brightly at Rebecca.
Jocelyn had waited for so many years. How could she back down over such a small matter? After all, getting Cedric and Natalie divorced was not an easy task.
Moreover, now that Cedric was divorced, Jocelyn was well aware many others had their eye on the Johnson family.
Natalie took a cab back to the Elegance Bay.
Once she was home, Karina called.
Rest assured, no one dares to leak what happened at the hospital tonight!”
Okay, Natalie replied, then hung up Karina’s call.
Isabella was not as simple as she appeared on the surface. That woman was quite formidable, not just relying on manipulative tactics to sway public opinion.
Who knew what she would have prepared next?
Natalie closed her eyes.
room.
The butler acted swiftly and returned after a few minutes. The driver and bodyguards have been arranged and are waiting outside for you.”
She stood up and headed outside.
In the car, Natalie called Karina. “Find out where Cedric is. If he’s at the hospital, find a way to keep him occupied.”
“I’m heading to the hospital right away!” Natalie said coldly.
Isabella was plotting against her. She didn’t just want to snatch Cedric away. She hated Natalle and wanted her dead.
Had Isabella ever refrained from tarnishing Natalie’s reputation in this life and her previous one?
