A Divorce After My Rebirth novel Chapter 483

In the evening, amidst a lavish banquet with wine and champagne flowing, the cream of Wexford's high society was present.

When Irwin arrived with Natalie by his side, nearly all eyes were instantly fixated on them.

Natalie also attracted numerous hostile gazes at that moment.

"It seems you're quite the popular figure here in Wexford!" Natalie glanced around, feeling the envy radiating from many younger women.

The comment carried a hint of sarcasm.

It was a dig at Irwin and Cedric, suggesting she knew nothing, but it was clearly also mocking herself.

Sensing the undertone in her words, Irwin tightened his grip on her hand and whispered, "Since we're here, you'll have plenty of time to discover just how sought-after the men around you are. So, cherish the chance, alright?"

His tone was teasing.

Irwin effortlessly dismantled Natalie's sarcasm.

In response, she shot him a cold look.

When Cedric arrived, he saw Natalie and Irwin standing together. At that moment, Natalie's delicate hand rested comfortably within Irwin's larger palm.

Considering their height difference...

Natalie seemed so petite next to Irwin.

Standing beside him, she appeared almost doll-like. The warmth evident on Irwin's face showed how much he cherished her.

"So, Mr. Frazier has a preference for such a type!" Someone in the crowd remarked with a sigh.

It explained why all the other beautiful figures hadn't caught Irwin's eye. Many had tried to gain his attention but only received cold indifference.

No one expected that Natalie would eventually capture his attention.

"She's quite short, isn't she?"

"Short? I wish I had her stature!"

Why? Because Irwin liked it!

Within the crowd, there was envy and jealousy in the eyes of many.

Whispers spread among the attendees.

"How much longer?" Natalie asked.

Irwin tightened his grip on her hand subconsciously and asked, "Are you tired?"

"Yes," Natalie nodded.

"Then, let's go," Irwin said, pulling her close.

This display warmed many hearts. To those in Wexford, while Irwin was charming, he never displayed such affection openly.

They walked past Cedric as they exited the hall. Although Cedric and Irwin didn't interact at the banquet, an invisible rivalry lingered between them.

After exiting the banquet hall, the suppressed feeling in Natalie's heart began to dissipate.

Inside the car, Irwin lit a cigarette. He rolled down the window and let the cold breeze in, which refreshed his mind.

He commented, "If all goes as expected, he'll form a marriage alliance with the Schneider family."
