And...
Tonight Lily is planning to give a big surprise for her husband and Janet. If Louis comes here, everything would be ruined. It is hard for her to explain.
“Louis must be very busy. It’s impossible for him to come here right?” Janet does not want to lose face and asks them a question. Her son could not get close to Louis, she did not want anyone else to get close either. “When you two married, you also sent an invitation to him, but he did not show up right, Louis told you he was coming, but in the end, he only sent his secretary here right?”
Susan is not happy but she manages to give a smile, “Oh, come on Janet, do come in first. We have so many guests, and we have to greet them first.”
Janet smiles, she seems as if she has won the battle and walks into the hall.
Lily says nothing.
She might look down on Janet before, but actually, Janet is pissing Susan off.
When they come into the hall, Lily finds that her husband is out of sight, Oh, she got it, here comes with that woman that is having an affair with Jason. She is wearing a long silver dress, and stands closely to him.
Later, she comes to know that that woman’s name is Lucy, Lucy Jackson.
She notices that Jason takes Lucy to Janet, and they greet each other.
Lily knows right away that Jason is acting in front of her, making her have the idea that they first met.
Lucy is an outsider, but she is sitting next to Janet, Janet says she is taking good care of Jason in his company, so she insists that she should sit next to her, making Lily look like an outsider.
The table is big enough for twelve people, but she sees that there is still an empty place next to her, which makes her a little nervous.
But when she looks around, she feels at ease.
The tables around her are full, it seems that Louis Smith would not come here.
The relatives of the Smith family understand, when they see a stranger sitting next to Janet, they do not say a word, but they exchange looks with each other, showing that they are happy to see the drama.
They try to say to her, you are a terrible daughter-in-law.
Jason at first puts some dishes in Lily’s bowl and tries to comfort her, but a few minutes later, he ignores her completely, trying to talk to Lucy, which makes Lily even more angry.
