Chace is lost for words.

At first, he thinks it is a joke. So, he waves his hand in front of her and even makes a mock charge.

She doesn't even blink when Chace's fist is an inch away her face.

Knowing she is blind, Chace goes out for a doctor.

Jessie hears the door close and everything around her becomes quiet. She starts to panic somehow.

Her world is completely dark. She can't see anything.

She can do nothing but to hold on tightly to the blanket.

She is sorted out in a neighborhood in Country Y, and there's a servant to take care of her.

But a few days later, several men barge in.

They kill the servant in front of her and knock her down before she can do anything.

When she wakes up, she can't see a thing.

These men want to assault her, but she fights violently. So, they kick her and even whip her, saying that they will send her somewhere.

She waits and waits until she is sure she is alone, and she stumbles her way out leaning on a wall.

At last, she makes her way out, for those men won't believe a blind person can do so.

She doesn't know where she is, but she hears someone talking. So, she asks them where the police station is, but only finds out they are a bunch of hooligans.

Luckily Chace sees her and saves her from danger.

Otherwise, she can't believe what will happen to her.

When Jessie's mind wanders carelessly, the door opens and some men are talking.

"There seems to be something wrong with her eyes."

A doctor comes over and runs some tests about her eyes.

Then he asks, "Have your eyes been burned recently, or have you hit your head somewhere?"

"No," Jessie grabs the blanket tightly and answers, "When I wake up, I can't see a thing."

"Eat anything strange?"

"No."

The doctor wants to take a CT scan of Jessie.

Chace interrupts, "She is pregnant. I'm afraid she can't do it."

Hearing this, Jessie touches her belly gratefully.

She has no idea how she makes it through these days. She thinks that she will lose her baby. She doesn't have the nerve to ask Chace when she wakes up. But now she is happy to know the baby is still here.

The doctor then says, "Her tests are fine. Maybe it's temporary blindness. Just wait and see after the baby comes."

After the doctor leaves, Chace sits down in a chair and rubs his forehead, "Oh God! I should've leave you here if I know this."

He is unwilling to give up, "Do you have any idea of your friend's name and where she lives?"

Jessie shakes her head.

She could tell him Lily's number, but Lily has already had a lot for her to do. She can't go to Lily’s right now.

Jessie purses her dry lips and says, "We're here for a tour and we get lost. I can't remember her phone number."

"Then passport? Where's your passport?"

"I lost it; I believe."

"Shit!" Chace scratches his hair helplessly, "You can't stay with me! I have a pile of to-do lists!"

"Oh!" He remembers something and screams, "You're pregnant. You must know the number of your child's father."

Something moves in Jessie's eyes and she says in a low voice, "I can't remember, either."
