A One Night Stand With My Boss (by Ela Osaretin) novel Chapter 207

Connor lay in bed, his heart filled with regret and confusion as he listened to Camila's footsteps fading away.

His gaze fell upon the messy sheets, still carrying traces of Camila's scent.

After a moment, he rose from the bed and walked over to the wardrobe. Opening it, he immediately spotted the tie and necklace from the night before.

He had intended to throw them away but had retrieved them from the trash can after his night of drinking.

Holding the tie and necklace, a mix of emotions flooded through him. He carefully folded the tie and placed it back in the wardrobe, sighing deeply.

He then grabbed some clothes and stepped into the bathroom, turning on the cold shower and letting the icy water wash over his weary face and body.

Camila closed the door of the lounge, trying to calm the turmoil inside her. She drank most of a bottle of mineral water, which helped her clear her head.

The office was filled with the smell of smoke and alcohol, making her feel uncomfortable, so she opened the window and turned on the ventilation system.

She glanced at the messy coffee table and knew the cleaning staff couldn't come in as long as he was there.

She disposed of the cigarette butts in the trash and set the empty bottles aside. His black matte lighter was on the coffee table, which she wiped clean and placed next to the cigarette box.

After tidying up the coffee table, she went to make Connor a cup of coffee.

She also poured a glass of warm water and some hangover medicine.

She set them down near his breakfast on the coffee table.

After freshening up, Connor opened the door of the lounge and immediately saw Camila bent over, arranging breakfast on the coffee table. Her expression was serious and focused.

Sunlight fell on her, giving her a serene and gentle appearance.

Connor found it hard to look away from her.

After a moment, he walked over to her.

The sound of his footsteps made Camila pause for a second. She took a deep breath and slowly turned around.

Connor stood before her in a black shirt and black trousers.
