Camila's grip on her phone tightened as she blurted out, "Why'd they break up out of the blue?"

Connor and Rita both turned to look at her.

Taken aback by their sudden attention, Camila felt a bit awkward and forced a smile, trying to mask her inner turmoil.

"I'll come to you. Send me your address."

Connor raised an eyebrow, "What's up?"

Camila replied, "Jenna... my friend, seems like she's had her heart broken. I'm going to see her."

Rita got up, grabbing her purse. "I'll take you."

Camila shook her head quickly, "No, it's fine."

"It's okay, I was about to leave anyway. I'll drop you off," Rita said with a smile.

Connor glanced at her, "Check the parking lot; her boyfriend's still here."

"Whatever, big shot! I'm outta here." Rita rolled her eyes at him and left with a few coworkers.

Camila put on her coat and went downstairs with Connor. In the elevator, Connor asked, "They just had a fight, right?"

Camila shook her head slightly, looking a bit confused. "I'm not sure. Jenna's voice sounded really off."

Once they reached the hotel lobby, Connor said, "I'll come up with you."

Camila responded, "It's just us girls talking. It might be awkward for you."

"How could it be awkward? I can join in bashing Logan," Connor said with a straight face.

Camila laughed at his comment. Just then, Connor's phone rang, and he waved it. "The guy's calling me."
