Connor watched as the fluffy bunny tail on her pajama bottoms swayed with every step, stirring something deep inside him.
After his shower, Camila had changed into her usual nightwear and was lounging on the bed, scrolling through her phone.
He lifted the comforter and slid into bed, keeping a bit of distance between them. "What are you looking at?"
Camila moved to snuggle up to him, but Connor shifted back. "I'm a bit chilly, don’t want to pass the cold to you."
Camila paused for a moment, then draped her half of the blanket over him. "Don’t catch a cold."
Connor chuckled at her gesture, handed back the blanket, and tucked her in properly. "I'm not that fragile."
A knock at the door interrupted them.
"I'll get it," Camila said, climbing out of bed.
Opening the door, the maid stood there with a tray. "Ms. Camila, your ginger tea."
Camila thanked her and brought the tray to Connor. "Ginger tea, it’ll warm you up."
Taking a sip, Connor asked, "Won’t it upset your stomach?"
Camila shook her head, set the tray down, and sat beside him, whispering, "No, just a bit bloated."
After finishing the ginger tea, the chill in Connor's body gradually dissipated. He washed his hands with warm water and returned to bed, wrapping his arms around Camila, gently massaging her abdomen with his warm hands.
"Feeling better?"
"Mhm," Camila murmured, drifting towards sleep.
"Let’s wake up early tomorrow to watch the sunrise."
"Sure," Camila perked up immediately, turning to grab her phone. "What time? I’ll set an alarm."
Connor smiled. "Check what time the sun rises, and we’ll get up a bit earlier to freshen up."
