Hearing that voice, Everly knew who the person was.
Everly was surprised. Did he look for her?
She turned around and smiled at Stanley, "Mr. Stanley, are you preparing to leave as well?"
Stanley was not as gentle as before but looked at her contemptuously.
Everly knew what he was thinking about.
But she didn't want to explain.
If she explained to him, he would think that they could be together.
So she would rather be misunderstood.
"Everly, I know that the matter between men and women is consensual. If you don't like me, it's fine but you can't trick me."
Stanley was so angry that he directly said he was tricked by Everly.
Everly also felt innocent. She frowned, and said, "I think you might have misunderstood something. I never intended to trick you. Mr. Stanley, it's very late, and I'm a little tired. Goodbye."
Stanley probably felt that he could not lose face.
Stanley rushed forward and blocked her way, "Maverick is by your side, but why did you come to the blind date then? Is it because you can only be Maverick's mistress so you wanted to find a back-up?"
Everly's face clouded over. Then she said word by word, "Please behave yourself."
"Behave myself? Everly, you are shameless. How dare you ask me to behave myself? It's so funning. I even treated you as a treasure. You and Maverick were all over each other before me several times. What do you think I am? How can you cuckold me?"
Everly laughed in anger at his last word.
"What did you say? I cuckolded you?"
"Isn't that so? Just now, you were flirting with Maverick before me. Shameless!"
"Please make it clear. Do I have anything to do with you? It is my mother who asked me to go on the blind date and I had no choice. Mr. Stanley, we are all adults. It shouldn't be your first blind date, right? At your age, your family is indeed very anxious. But not every woman you have been on a blind date with was your girlfriend, OK? You think too highly of yourself!"
Perhaps it was because Everly did not say too much to Stanley before.
She used to be quiet, so Stanley was dumbstruck.
Everly did not care what he was thinking.
She was about to leave, but she was once again stopped by Stanley.
Everly became impatient.
She struggled but Stanley held her hand tightly and refused to let her go.
"Do you have anything to say?"
Everly was even more annoyed, "You can speak freely, and you don't have to do this. I've had a meal with you, but it doesn't mean anything. Can you be sensible?"
Stanley also knew that Everly's words were reasonable.
But he was still angry.
They went back and forth for a while, and then they were suddenly interrupted by hurried footsteps.
Everly felt a black shadow flashed over, directly standing before her.
Then the strength that was holding her wrist suddenly disappeared.
