Edmond had been very supportive of his mommy and Uncle Maverick being together.
Spending just a night in Uncle Maverick's house? He was all for it. And now, Uncle Maverick was even using models to "lure" him. Edmond felt that Uncle Maverick did not need to ask whether he wanted to stay a night at his house. His answer must be yes.
Of course, it would be even better if Uncle Maverick asked.
"That's great! Mommy, let's go to Uncle Maverick's house."
Maverick took a tissue at the side and handed it to Everly, who had been hinting at him. He said with a gentle and harmless, "Edmond wants to go. You wouldn't say no to him, right?"
Everly gritted her teeth and glared at Maverick, who had succeeded in his trick. But because there were two kids, she knew it was not good to throw a fit. She said to Edmond, "Sweetie, you forgot you could not sleep in a different bed."
That was the truth, but Edmond ignored this point at this moment.
"Mommy, I don't. It's a bed in Uncle Maverick's house. I will treat it as mine."
Everly was speechless. "Hey, kid, what you said is losing our face."
"What is losing face? I think I'm not." Edmond blinked his eyes innocently. "Only monsters don't have a face," Edmond said.
Everly lost her words.
Candy agitated and said, "Auntie Everly, you should come. So I can share my toys with Edmond tonight."
Everly still wanted to decline, but Maverick didn't give her any room to say no. He helped her decide directly. "The thing I bought from the auction has been prepared. I have asked someone to redesign it for you. Come to my place, and I'll give it to you." said Maverick.
Everly knew it was the pink diamond.
She never wanted to accept such an expensive gift.
But Maverick's attitude was apparent. He wanted to give it to her, and she must accept it.
The words he said in the elevator that day still rang in her ears. Everly blushed, knowing that she had to go to his place tonight.
She no longer tried to resist and followed Maverick to his place.
On the way, Everly said this to her mother.
But it was hard to say that she was taking her son to a man's house for the night.
After thinking about it, she still lied. She just told her mother that she would company Beth. Because Beth had just relocated, and she would take Edmond with her.
Gloria trusted her daughter very much and didn't ask much.
Everly put away her phone and found that the two kids were asleep on her lap. Probably they were tired from playing during the day.
Her eyes were soft and kind. She did not make too much of a move to wake them up.
After arriving at Maverick's villa, both of them got out of the car. Maverick knew that the kids were asleep, so he picked them up, holding one in each arm. It was pretty easy for him.
The man looked thin, but Everly knew very well that his body was full of strength.
She obediently followed behind the man and walked towards the gate of the villa.
This was not the first time she had been here. She had driven Maverick once before home. But this was the first time she brought her son into his home.
One step at a time, followed by this man, Everly had felt she entered his world.
Everly had been a little nervous, but now she felt more natural.
There were many things that she had to try before she knew whether it was suitable or not.
After taking the first step, she no longer had any thoughts of retreating.
But most of the time, things went against her wishes.
