A Pigeon Pair: Sweetheart, Let's Get Married novel Chapter 74

Hearing Maverick's name again, Everly looked even more unnatural.

She felt her lips swollen.

She subconsciously stuck out her tongue and licked the corner of her mouth.

"Mommy and uncle will help you figure out all these things. Anyway, we all believe in you. Don't think too much."

Everly didn't want to talk about Candy a lot in front of Stanley.

After all, very few people knew that Maverick had a daughter.

She quickly changed the topic. "Edmond, say hello to Stanley. As Mommy's friend, he came to see you."

"Just call him Stanley," Everly said.

Stanley took two steps forward. Probably he had expected a five-year-old child to be innocent.

So, when he found Edmond's calmness and clarity of speech, he was somewhat overwhelmed.

"Everly, your son looks very smart." Stanley smiled and greeted Edmond, "As your mother said, you can call me Stanley. Nice to meet you."

Edmond looked calm.

He looked Stanley over from head to bottom. He dared not to disobey Everly, so he reluctantly said, "Nice to meet you, Stanley."

Everly felt satisfied to hear this.

This is the most basic courtesy that Edmond should follow.

However, Edmond soon added, "I don't look smart. I'm smart."

Stanley didn't know what to say.

Everly rubbed her nose. "Edmond!"

"Isn't that so?" Edmond pursed his lips, "Did you meet Stanley on your last blind date, Mommy?"

Stanley was even more speechless.

Stanley was surprised just now, but at this moment he was a little shocked.

Perhaps all children nowadays were so sensible and premature.

Thinking of this, he tried to treat Edmond as an older child. "Yes, we meet on a blind date. Edmond, can I call you that? From now on, let's get along well with each other."

Edmond, on the other hand, didn't show him much respect. "But mommy has had a crush on somebody else."

Everly felt embarrassed.

She didn't know what to say. Although she didn't like Stanley, Edmond shouldn't have said such unpleasant words. She glared at him and said, "Edmond, don't talk nonsense."

However, Stanley said with a smile, "It's alright. He was just a kid. I won't take it seriously."

Edmond said grimly, "You have to take it seriously. There is another handsome guy who would be the perfect dad for me. Stanley, you are not bad, but you are not suitable to be my daddy. So, you don't have any chance here."

There was a sudden silence.

Hendrix just opened the door. Hearing this, he couldn't help but curve his lips.

He felt awkward.

Everly didn't know what to say. Stanley didn't look comfortable, either.

Therefore, Everly tried to get Stanley out of here. She walked over and said, "Stanley, let's go down to have a drink."

Stanley nodded.
