Chapter 160
It seemed as though Sage was prepared to turn against Braxton and Zane. She was fearless. This was not good for them.
Zane had a guilty conscience. He was a man with no substance, he only knew how to spend money, and never learned how to make it. He was never interested in running a business, and all his life he was obsessed with antiquing and nothing else.
During the trip to Yusemite, he unintentionally got involved in gambling all his money away. He hadn’t recovered from it financially,
Zane was still hoping to sell some Norah group shares to cover his loss. He needed the share price to inflate just a bit more. If Sage kicks him out now, he would have lost everything.
It’s not worth it.
He thought of that and shriveled back to his seat. Braxton on the other hand felt extremely uneasy.
Braxton opened his mouth after two long breaths and said, “What makes you think the turf club is profitable? We spent a great deal of fortune to get the land. If deemed unprofitable, who’s going to be responsible?”
“Don’t worry, my dear uncles. I’ve started making my own money since young. Profitable or not, I think I know better than the two o f you.” Sage said in a confident and strong tone. “I have also partnered up with Yuriel Group and Fulton Group for this project. We can at least be profitable for five years. Just keep doing what we’re doing.”
