A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 214

Chapter 214

An abundance of rain poured down on Salem City. Jace and his assistant Zayne were drenched to the skin. Zayne held an umbrella next to Jace, but he refused to be covered by it. Zayne was only able to block the wind for him, but unexpectedly the wind was too strong, and he wasn’t able to hold it anymore. “Mr. Yuriel, please get back into the car, the rain is too heavy!” Zayne was frustrated at his boss’ stubbornness. To him, safety always comes first.

Jace’s face was solemn and his body stood frozen. He was also betting against God for challenging him in such tough ways. To be frank, he felt that being drenched by the rain is a stupid way to gain Sage’s attention, like some soapy drama. He would much rather take a beating, but he used that one before.

But Yoel told him… “Just trust me, Jace. I have many more relationships than you. Girls are all soft-hearted; no one can resist a little romance under the rain. It might be a little outdated but who cares? It’ll work.” =

In the building, The Norah Jewelry employees were all peeking by the window side and looking down at Jace like they were watching a drama in real life, and they were all discussing it.

“Oh my gosh, can’t imagine Mr. Yuriel being such a dramatic person. He looked exactly like a male lead from a soap drama.”

“It’s such a heavy rain tonight, look at assistant Zayne! He’d almost been blown away by the wind. Even the umbrella is broken… this is tragic!” Ada came over and took one glance, and she poked at Sage, “Do you want to invite him in, or go look at how he’s doing? What if he gets sick from the rain?” Sage looked coldly and her face expressionless, “He seemed to be enjoying it. The rain is fine, it’s not as heavy as that day Paige came to ask for money.” Sage turned away as soon as she finished her sentence.

Everyone else was amazed at their boss, saying, “That’s our girl boss.” Isn’t Sage the slightest touched by Jace’s gestures?
