A Relentless Pursuit for Love novel Chapter 399

Chapter 399

Asher’s current situation was almost the same as Jace’s situation before. Back then, Jace had a period of extreme impatience. He was filled with anger and treated everyone as enemies.

The closest ones would be the ones who would be hurt most.

Sage thought that things would turn better after hard days that were finally over. Who knew that it was the beginning of the worst. There was nothing but darkness after the hardest days. Sage was about to say something with an icy face. Then, a soft voice came from behind her. “If he tries to move impatiently in the future, tie him up and don’t spoil him. He’s a strong man. You should rather hurt him than yourself.”

Sage turned back and saw Jace’s indifferent face. As their eyes met, Sage’s face turned icier. Then, she looked away, took off her medical gloves, and went to the bathroom to wash her hands.

Looking at Lulu’s injuries, Jace’s eyes turned a little gloomy. “Asher is worried about you and told me to check on you.”

The girl who almost fainted in pain was cheered up because this sentence carried no weight. Her eyes lit up again. “Is he worried? How is he? Are his injuries serious?”

Sage remained silent. She was washing her hands under the faucet and rubbed her hands hard. For some reason, it was cold, irritable, and sour inside. She was also like Lulu once. She knew that the person she loved did not love her, but she was easily moved by his caring words and just a simple look in his eyes. She had always dreamed that he loved her!

Even so, why would a man who loved her hurt her? The one who loved first was always the loser. She would be hurt deeper the longer she loved. It was best to get out early before getting hurt.

Lulu was transferred to the ward from the emergency room. Once the anesthetic wore off, it was another round of pain.
