A Trust-fund Baby novel Chapter 50

“Judson, I love you, but I also hate you. Why do you come to find me now?” Diana was struggling while she was walking to her house.

Diana raised her head and looked at the sky. Then she took a deep breath. She was painful and troubled.

When Diana walked upstairs, she saw Charles smoking there.

“Charles…You?” Diana looked at him astonishingly because she was unaware when Charles was here.

Charles smiled, took a deep breath and said to himself, “When we first met, I watched the movie The Ex-file which had a sad ending. The hero and heroine loved each other, but they broke up. At that time, I thought the ending was sorrowful. There is something that we can’t do it. If we do it, we can never go back.”

Charles paused and continued, “Diana, do you think that it is a bad ending? The hero and heroine should be together. Do you think so?”

Charles burst into tears…

Diana knew what Charles meant. She had watched the movie, too. After she got divorced with Judson, she watched it sadly. It hit her that Charles was like the man who took care of heroine after she broke up with the hero.

By thinking that, Diana shook. She suddenly realized the decision that Charles made. She looked at with mixed feelings and apologized, “Charles, I am so sorry. I can’t forget him. I still want to be with him. I am really sorry, really.”

Charles shook his head with a smile on his face, he took a deep breath and said, “Go and find him, please. You’re a good girl, Diana. Though I just met Just met him for once, I can tell that he loves you very much from his eyes. And I know your choice when you got in his car. You don’t need to worry about me. I even haven’t touched your hands.”

Charles kept smiling and said, “Diana, I hope we are still good friends.”

Diana cried, shook his hand and said, “Thank you!”

After shaking hands with Diana, Charles came back to his home. He walked few steps, turned around and waved to Diana. He said, “I am leaving. I wish you can be happy.”

Seeing Charles off, Diana had mixed feelings. And she said to herself, “Sorry, Charles. And thank you. You are my only friend in SKY city.

……

When Charles walked away, he found that the taxi that drove Diana home was still there. He paused for a second, and then he knocked the window of the taxi and asked, “Sir, could you drive me to the place where the girl got in your car?”

The taxi driver was surprised and said, “Oh…”

Charles said nothing but gave the driver 200 yuan.

More than ten minutes later, at the place where Judson smoked, the taxi that drove Diana away was back. Judson was stunning at the coming taxi.
