sister, Lady Rosa. She had not turned over a new leaf; she remained firmly 

entrenched in her old ways. 

“Damn it! I won’t let you harm Mr. Hale!” Chester shouted, his heart racing. 

Though Chester lacked the strength to match his opponent, he lunged at Emmanuel with fierce determination, resolute in his desire to protect his 

leader.

Emmanuel seized both of Chester’s fists and shouted, “Stop! We’re on the

plan to ask your wife if I can become your concubine.” 

As her words hung in the air, a peculiar tension filled the space. The gazes 

around her shifted, and everyone regarded Emmanuel with renewed 

wariness.
