After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities novel Chapter 789

Chapter 789

After finishing breakfast, Sylvia and her friends headed towards the venue for the composition competition. Mrs. Ritter watched them leave and disdainfully said, "We'll also go to the composition hall. I want to see how she handles this challenge today." She had a look of enjoying someone else's misfortune on her face.

Ashlyn spoke softly to Evelyn and their group behind them, "Since we have nothing else to do, why don't we go cheer on our colleague Jenna?" She sounded sweet.

But everyone knew that they were going there as a group just to watch Jenna make a fool of herself.

So they all marched towards the composition competition venue in grand fashion.

As soon as they entered, they saw Jenna standing in line preparing to go backstage. Today she was wearing a watermelon red dress that looked very summer-like.

Urgford was currently experiencing winter while Vienna was experiencing summer due to climate differences. So everyone dressed very lightly, especially the girls who were all decked out in their best outfits after seeing Jenna change into her watermelon red performance dress from her plain outfit at lunch earlier. Her face now had light makeup on which made her features more delicate and skin flawless.

Evelyn leaned over Ashlyn's ear and whispered softly," Look at how she dresses up; what is she trying so hard for? Besides being able to deceive Master Brayden with this act, who else can she fool?"

Ashlyn rolled her eyes," But men love this kind of slut! They like these seemingly pure and innocent bitches because it makes them feel manly when protecting them!"

She couldn't stand Jenna especially with that innocent-looking face of hers which irritated people just by looking at it.

The preliminary rounds started quickly with one contestant after another taking the stage playing their own compositions.

Composing music is something that requires originality along with certain levels of skill, so naturally there weren't many participants compared to piano or violin competitions where contestants lined up endlessly waiting for their turn onstage.

Here only about twenty or so contestants participated but most got eliminated since none of their compositions caught any judge's attention.

Ashlyn felt a sense of relief as she watched a few contestants get eliminated. "Looks like Jenna's fate will be the same as theirs, I feel sorry for her," she thought to herself.

Even though the competition had not yet started, Ashlyn was already convinced that Jenna would lose.

Mrs. Ritter watched the contestant playing on stage without expression. "It's okay, she's still young. After another two years of experience, who knows? She might win an award when she comes back to compete again."

She spoke as if Jenna was about to be eliminated and return home in disappointment.

However... it was soon Jenna's turn.

She walked onto the stage with her cello on her back and Mrs. Ritter furrowed her eyebrows at the sight of it. "Cello?"

How did Mrs. Ritter not know that Jenna played cello?

"What is she doing? Isn't her major piano? Why is she carrying a cello?" Ashlyn was also shocked.

Evelyn looked confused too, "Is this some kind of joke by Jenna? Shouldn't she play a piano piece instead? How does this relate to playing cello?"

Jenna sat down on stage wearing a beautiful watermelon red dress, looking like a fairy descending from heaven - exquisite and charming.

Under the spotlight, her figure stood tall and elegant while her fingers moved lightly across the almost transparent white skin on top of the bowstring - just like how an elf butterfly would flutter its wings gracefully in mid-air.

The soothing melody from the beautiful sound of cello strings gently flowed into both audience members' ears and judges' ears alike; distant yet close enough to wrap around them all at once with its enchanting tune that everyone listened quietly until one song ended.

Jenna stood up after finishing playing and bowed towards judges while applause erupted like tidal waves throughout venue space making everyone stunned by what they had just witnessed.

One judge spoke up in surprise, "This piece you played called Quiet Night Thought is your original composition?"

"Yes," replied Jenna humbly with gracefulness."I composed it specifically for this competition using my cello which makes it particularly melodious."

"Very impressive! Congratulations! You've made it through!" The judge smiled slightly before handing over an advancement card into Jennas hand.

It has been quite some time since they encountered such talented contestants; truly remarkable!

Mrs. Ritter fumed with anger sitting among audience members wondering how could Jenna so easily advance when others were struggling so hard?

Why should Jenna who majors in piano be able to compose such beautiful music using her cello?

Ashlyn rolled her eyes, "Is this song plagiarized? I've never heard of Jenna composing before."

Evelyn moved her lips and whispered, "I think the piece she played in the piano competition at Larro was composed by herself..."

"Damn it, why didn't you say so earlier?" Mrs. Ritter glared coldly at Evelyn. If she had known Jenna could compose, she would not have let her participate in this competition and instead let her participate in something like violin or drum which she knew nothing about.
