After divorce, Ex-wife Revealed Identities novel Chapter 901

Chapter 901

Franklin and Sylvia got into the black Bentley directly. It was raining today, and there was a faint chill in the air, making the atmosphere very heavy. The journey from downtown to the mountains is about two hundred kilometers by car, which would take a long time.

Franklin immediately arranged several helicopters from SouthStar Airlines while driving and making phone calls at the same time.

Sylvia patted his arm, "You make arrangements, I'll drive."

The man parked the car on the side of the road and turned on emergency lights before switching seats with her.

"Are we going to SouthStar Airlines now?" she asked as she sat in the driver's seat.

"Yes," Franklin nodded. "We're flying over there to find James."

After speaking, he continued to make phone calls while arranging for his subordinates to prepare some emergency supplies for rescue operations.

Not only that but he also had Jasper contact Nelson, captain of Eagle Rescue Team who has extensive rescue experience over these years leading countless rescues as a hero of rescue operations.

Sylvia drove quickly in her Bentley through light rain like lightning bolts across miles within seconds almost blinking an eye away! Fortunately for Franklin's good mental state and physical fitness or else he would have thrown up long ago due to her crazy driving style!

It was already late at night; there were few vehicles or pedestrians on this road so Sylvia dared drive so boldly like this.

The sound of engine revving echoed clearly through dark rainy night.

Franklin hung up his phone call then looked sideways at Sylvia who was focused entirely on driving with white fingers gripping tightly onto steering wheel staring straight ahead looking like martial arts master moving gracefully through water-like clouds which made him feel pleased watching her beauty unfold before him.

Her long eyelashes fluttered gently covering down like crow feathers around eyesight quivering slightly as if they were alive!

Suddenly their car stopped abruptly!

"Are we here?" He asked hoarsely; it seemed too fast!

Sylvia raised an eyebrow,"Get out."

Franklin took her hand directly towards helicopter takeoff site where it is wide open space with strong winds blowing fiercely lifting up Sylvia's ink-black hair strands floating around them both.

There were five helicopters parked nearby whose propellers kept spinning loudly creating noise all around them!

Franklin led Sylvia onto one of them where Jasper sat inside wearing camouflage clothes saying. "Master, everything is ready; we can depart anytime soon!"

"Great!" Franklin exclaimed excitedly. "Notify everyone that we are boarding now; let's go immediately towards Chatlan Pinnacle!"

The further they flew into the mountains, the heavier the rain became.

Torrential rain poured down, washing over the land and through the entire forest. But ahead of them, the Eagle Rescue Team had already arrived at Chatlan Pinnacle. They trudged along muddy mountain paths with flashlights in hand, searching for those lost hikers.

Everyone wore flimsy makeshift raincoats that were practically useless against such a deluge. Yet they pressed on as if they didn't feel a thing.

Nelson wiped his face and looked out into the black night shrouding the mountains. "Let's keep going. They're probably deep in these mountains."

"Captain, if we keep going we might be in danger too," said Vice Captain as he raised his flashlight to shine it deeper into those dark and foreboding hills.

All he saw was an endless expanse of blackness stretching out before him - no light or sign of life anywhere except for that pounding rain washing over everything like an angry wave.

The weather up here was already cold enough at night without adding this extreme difficulty to it all - temperatures plummeted even lower under these conditions! If anyone suffered from hypothermia for too long up here... well, let's just say things wouldn't end well for them.

"We have to press on," Nelson said firmly. "As long as there is even a glimmer of hope left, we must save them." He squinted his eyes shut against another gust of wind and wrapped himself tighter in his flapping coat before charging forward towards those forbidding peaks ahead.

Meanwhile deep within one small mountain valley...

Over ten young men huddled together tightly trying to stay warm amidst this icy chill that seemed to seep right through their bones! One boy shivered so hard he could barely open his backpack with shaking hands; desperate for something - anything- warm inside!

But then came another fierce gust of wind howling down upon them all... The boy tried desperately to hold onto what little warmth remained inside him but it was slipping away fast now! He tore apart every layer until finally finding what he sought. A thin thermal blanket which would offer some protection from this biting cold outside.

He struggled mightily but finally managed to pry open its packaging only seconds before yet another powerful blast slammed into him knocking both blanket and boy off balance!

James watched helplessly as Romeo tried grabbing hold but failed miserably thanks again due largely because winds were just too strong now...

"It's so cold..." James muttered weakly while Romeo clung tightly onto James' arm teeth chattering uncontrollably.

His once rosy cheeks now turned ghostly white under this relentless onslaught making him look almost sickly pale by comparison; drained completely dry by such harsh elements battering away mercilessly at their bodies without mercy or respite whatsoever...

James desperately reached out to pinch himself, trying to keep himself awake.

His voice was hoarse. "Hang in there, everyone. Someone will come to save us!"

This group of people had long since lost their strength and food, and all the water had been consumed.

One boy had already passed out. James struggled over to him and held him close. "Mauricio, hold on a little longer. Wake up."
