Chapter 442 No Longer Need It

Candy inquired with Wesley and found out that there were indeed several good properties for sale in the downtown area.

But they were very popular, so if Chloe wanted to buy one, she must act early.

"It's Saturday tomorrow. How about we go and check it out?" Candy asked.

Shaking her head, Chloe replied, "Not tomorrow. I'm going to visit my mother's grave tomorrow."

Candy nodded in understanding, saying, "Yeah, that is more important!"

Candy was still a little angry when Wendy was mentioned.

"Why didn't you ask me and Quinn help you with Wendy's funeral? How much could you handle by yourself?" said Candy.

Chloe knew that she had a sharp tongue but a soft heart. "There were not so many matters to deal with."

Wendy didn't have many friends, and she lost contact with them all after she fell ill.

So there were only family members at the funeral, not many of them.

It was really not complicated.

"Lucy and her mother won't come to cause trouble tomorrow, will they?" Candy asked.

She didn't want to see those two annoying people.

"Tiffany will be in jail at least for three years. As for Lucy, now that Michael and I are divorced, there's no one competing with her for the position of Mrs. Shawn. There's no need for her to come to mess with me," Chloe explained.

At her words, Candy felt relieved.

"Then I'll go with you to buy some fruit and cakes and visit Wendy's grave tomorrow," Candy suggested.

Wendy's grave was a bit far away. And due to the limited time available back then, Chloe could only buy a cemetery in the suburbs.
