Charlie had expected Michael to come forward and take him away out of pity, but to his surprise, Michael just stood back.

With his arms crossed, he was leaning against the wall, watching the scene unfold like a spectator.

"I'll apologize on his behalf. He's been spoiled by his parents, never faced any hardships outside. Sorry about that," Michael said, looking at Chloe.

"He's just a kid, I can let it slide. But I'm really not in a good mood right now," Chloe replied.

Michael raised his gaze to meet hers. "What would it take to lift your spirits?"

She smiled, raising her two fingers, "It's simple, my two strawberry cakes got ruined by him. You owe me."

Michael was taken aback by her request for just two strawberry cakes.

"I'll get them for you," Michael said before walking out to make a call to Ethan.
