Michael walked over and saw Chloe standing dazed by the restroom door. He called out, "Chloe, are you okay?"

Chloe snapped back to reality, her eyes wide with fear as she looked at Michael.

The next second, she spun around and rushed back into the women's restroom. She pushed open the stall door next to hers, but it was empty.

She thought, "Where did she go? I have been standing outside the whole time. If someone had left, I would have seen it. But I had no idea what the woman looked like!"

In a panic, Chloe pushed open stall after stall, only to find them all empty.

She stood in the middle of the restroom, feeling utterly defeated.

By the time she stepped out of the restroom again, Michael's eyes were full of worry.

"Chloe, what happened? Don't scare me!"

The last time he'd seen her this shaken was when Wendy passed away.

Chloe looked back at him and then burst into tears. After that, she headed straight for the supermarket exit.

Michael, filled with concern, followed closely behind her. "We can go to the hospital right now to get post-exposure prophylaxis. It's effective!"

They got into the car, and Michael didn't ask her any more questions. He quickly drove her to the nearest hospital.

The nurse who prescribed the medication gave Chloe a long, concerned look when she heard what she needed.

As soon as Chloe got the medication, she swallowed the pills, not even bothering with water.

She needed to take the medication for twenty-eight days. As she stared at the pills in her hand, her fingers trembled.

She realized she hadn't asked the doctor if the medication would affect her baby.
