"No, that's not the case!" Olivia bit her lip and shouted in a trembling voice.
Her eyes widened, and she clutched her phone tightly. "I didn't!"
"No?" Emma sneered. "Olivia, I know you are still in love with Steven. You must be miserable to see me getting engaged to him today. But the person Steven likes is me. I thought you would understand because Steven and I have been in love for a long time. Who would have expected you to exact revenge on me in this form at our engagement party? I..." Emma said as she threw herself into Steven's embrace and started crying pitifully.
Emma asked, "Steven, are we really in the wrong?"
Initially enamored by Olivia's gorgeous face just a moment ago, wanting to take her home, hide her away, and declare Olivia was his, Steven's face darkened upon hearing Emma's words. "Olivia, was it really you?"
His eyes were frosty, and his voice sharp as he questioned Olivia, "Why are you doing this? Does this all boil down to me liking Emma instead of you?"
Even though Olivia had long found out about Steven's true colors, she still couldn't help feeling stupid for liking him back then when confronted by his disgusting behavior again.
"Young Master Lu, your words must be backed by evidence. Why do you think what Emma said was the truth?"
Steven snorted coldly. "Why are you being pretentious now? Is this interesting to you? I'm not in love with you. That's why I chose to be with Emma. I admit that my heart wavered back then, so I was deceived by your sweet talking. But now that I have found my true love, why won't you let me go?"
"Doing this to my fiancée at my engagement party to retaliate against me will only make me despise you more," Steven sneered. "Besides, Young Master Si does not care that you fooled around with men all these years while abroad and is willing to marry you, but you plotted against him! Does it hurt your conscience to do this?"
Even Tim felt like applauding Steven after listening to the latter's righteous words, but what surprised him most was Olivia never raised her head, twirling her phone around, as if she was not affected by the words of the couple before her.
He thought, "This is interesting."
Tim smiled mischievously, looking forward to seeing Olivia defend herself.
"Luckily, nothing happened between me and Young Master Si. Otherwise, I might as well just end myself..." Emma spoke. She leaned into Steven's arms, sobbing again.
Emma and Steven echoed each other's words, confusing the onlookers around them.
A thought went through the crowd's minds. "So this is basically a drama where the elder sister snatched the younger sister's boyfriend from her, and the younger sister arranged for her fiancé to humiliate her sister to get revenge?"
"My poor Emma..." Mia, who had finally regained her senses, cried as she got up. She threw herself beside Emma, wailing, "Your life is so miserable. Even though you finally made it this day with Steven, Olivia still won't let you live in peace because of her jealousy."
Steven didn't wait for Olivia to answer. He growled at her angrily when he saw her playing with her phone. "Why, Olivia? Do you have nothing better to say?"
Olivia didn't bother to look up and asked coldly, "What do you want me to say?"
"Do you dare to admit your mistake?" Steven gritted his teeth.
Olivia finally put away her phone, putting it in her pocket. She raised her head. Even though her face was filled with grievance, her eyes were determined. "Why should I admit to something that I didn't do? Does this mean I must admit to everything regardless of whether I did it or not if you guys think I'm wrong?"
"Stop trying to deny your involvement!" Steven sneered. "Does this make sense to you? Why won't you admit it if you dare to do such a thing?"
"You said I did it. Where's the evidence, then? Show me the evidence; if I'm wrong, I won't have anything better to say then." Olivia smirked frostily.
