"Woof! Awoo! Awoo…”
Diana was a Tibetan Mastiff, and under normal circumstances, she would not make such a barking sound.
But at this moment, Diana was fuming, letting out a canine's instinctive howl upon seeing Olivia cornered by Xavier, who exuded a strong aura of danger.
Xavier frowned, looked at the ferocious dog, and smiled. "Hey, she's quite scary."
The corner of Olivia's mouth twitched. "Wow. I didn't know you're afraid of dogs?"
Xavier raised his brow. "Afraid?"
Why would he be afraid of Diana when he could train her quickly?
Xavier turned to look at Olivia, and when he saw the cunning look in her eyes, he knew that Olivia had teased him on purpose.
He immediately smiled. "So, Mrs. Si, aren't you going to protect me?"
Olivia pretended to be nervous and shrank behind Xavier. "How can you ask me to stand up and protect you when you fear the dog yourself?"
Xavier blinked. "You're right."
That said, Xavier took two steps forward and waved at the ferocious Tibetan Mastiff. Then, like a magic trick, he threw an item from his hand.
Diana, who was originally vigilant, immediately pounced on him.
At this moment, Xavier took the opportunity to step forward, grabbed Diana's scruff, gently turned her head, and led her to the open space next to them.
Diana didn't gain an upper hand at all. She was still confused by Xavier's action when she was taken to the side by him.
The dog thought there would be a fight between her and Xavier.
But in the end, she was controlled by Xavier as he messed with her.
The most frightening thing was that Diana had so much fun she forgot about her purpose to fight with Xavier.
Olivia didn't know what to say.
She expected Diana, the stupid dog, to fight with Xavier.
Sure enough, it turned out Olivia had placed too high of an expectation on Diana.
Olivia mused, "How smart can Gerald's dog be?"
Olivia regretted not educating Diana better before leaving the Medicine Valley.
"Achoo!"
A sneezing sound rang from the inside of the house.
Then came the scolding from Gerald. "Which idiot has just cursed me while on my property? Do you have a death wish?"
Olivia caressed her nose and thought, "Can Gerald read my mind? How does he know I was thinking badly about him?"
Gerald opened the window and saw Olivia standing at the bottom of the hill.
He snorted coldly. "Wow. What happened? Why did our busy brat return?"
Olivia jumped onto the hillside and climbed up to the balcony of Gerald's tiny house. She smiled at him, saying, "Ah, I miss you, so I came back!"
"I don't trust you!" Gerald spat. "You're such a heartless woman. I'm afraid you want to steal the good stuff in the Medicine Valley, right?"
Olivia mused, "Not really… I want to stay here and recuperate for two days and refine more pills before heading out again."
There were a lot of things that Olivia needed to do, which required her to use a considerable amount of medicine.
Although she was not short of money now, there were so many free medicinal ingredients in the Medicine Valley. They would all go to waste if she didn't use them, so there was no point for Olivia to purchase these medicinal ingredients purposely.
