Chapter 35 Counterattack
Sensing Leah's mocking tone, Archie immediately asked, "What's going on? Are you related to this matter?"
"The lawsuit I asked you to help me with is the same one they want to hire Archie for," Leah replied, feeling both amused and satisfied.
Quentin wanted to hire Archie to deal with Sharon's case, but Leah would never agree.
Archie quickly grasped the situation. "So... that celebrity is Quentin's girlfriend?"
Leah nodded. "Yes."
Archie reached out and gently patted Leah's shoulder. He said seriously, "She has caused you so much trouble and even wants to use public opinion to destroy you. Don't worry. I won't let them win."
"Thank you," Leah replied with a smile.
"We're friends. There's no need to be so polite," Archie said, gesturing for Leah to follow him. "Let's go upstairs. The first stop will be my office."
"Okay." Leah smiled and followed him.
Meanwhile, Eli returned to the Worthington Group and informed Quentin about Leah's successful recruitment of Archie.
Quentin frowned and asked, "Leah? How did she manage to get Archie? Go ask him again. If I double the price, would he deal with our case?"
Eli sighed in frustration. "Mr. Worthington, it's not just about money. The receptionist said Miss Wilson is a close friend of Mr. Duncan, and he canceled all other cases for her. The chances of us getting Mr. Duncan are close to zero."
Quentin's eyes deepened, and nobody could tell what he was thinking.
While feeling annoyed, an inexplicable sense of annoyance filled his chest, which made him quite uncomfortable.
