Chapter 68 Celebration Banquet
Leah's heart was filled with warmth. Just like in her childhood, she held Laura's hand with one hand and clasped onto Kaden's with the other, then gently rested her head on Laura's shoulder.
"Thank you, Mom. Thank you, Dad. It's so wonderful to have you."
Laura affectionately stroked Leah's soft hair.
"Don't mention it. You don't need to think too much about other things. Just remember that your family will always be your strongest support."
Leah was moved to the brink of tears by her mother's words, but she held back the urge to cry and nodded earnestly.
"Okay."
"Mom, Dad, what are you talking about with Leah?" Ethan walked in from the door, wearing a gentle smile on his face.
"We're just chatting casually." Leah didn't want to make another person worry about her, so she changed the topic. "Ethan, what has your company been up to lately? Why did you finish work so late?"
"I had a very successful project in the eastern part of the city, and we're currently planning a celebration banquet," Ethan said before gleefully looking at Leah. "I still need a female companion. Would you like to accompany me?"
Without hesitation, Leah agreed. "Of course! How could I not go to your celebration banquet?"
She then turned to Laura and Kaden. "Mom, Dad, will you be attending?"
Laura shook her head. "These noisy gatherings are better left to you young people. Your father and I won't be going."
Kaden also chimed in. "Yes, your mother has preferred a quieter atmosphere in recent years. I'll stay with her at home. You can go."
Then, he turned to face Ethan, looking to tease him a bit.
"Besides, with our status, if we were to appear at the event, it would surely cause quite a stir. At that time, we might outshine your big brother."
Leah was aware of the truth in their words.
Her father was the wealthiest man in Ocanni City, and her mother was a globally acclaimed dancer.
