Chapter 79 Remembered Her Favorite Dishes
Noticing Leah's bewilderment, Maurie handed the menu to the waiter and asked with concern, "Leah, what's wrong? Do you feel unwell, or are the dishes I chose not to your liking?"
A wave of unease washed over him as he posed the last question.
Maurie pondered, "I remember these were Leah's favorite dishes in high school. What if her taste has changed over the years? Did I just dig a hole for myself, making Leah form a bad impression of me?"
Hearing the soft, gentle voice instantly brought Leah back from her thoughts. She gently smiled, "No, it's nothing like that. I actually like the dishes you chose."
Maurie then breathed a sigh of relief and felt even happier. "I'm glad you like them."
Leah took a sip from the water glass on the table before shifting the conversation. "Regarding our company's advertising concept, is there anything you didn't understand? Let me know, and I'll have my team make the necessary revisions."
Maurie's body stiffened, and his expression turned somewhat uneasy. "You're the..."
She responded, "The CEO."
Upon hearing this, Maurie became even more visibly uneasy.
He thought, "Had I known Leah was the company's CEO, I would've gladly done the shoot, even without payment! But what I've said about their company is irreversible now, and I can't take them back."
Maurie awkwardly touched his nose, cleared his throat, and replied, "About the ad concept, I'll compile my suggestions in a document and send it to you."
As he said that, he suddenly thought of something and smiled sheepishly. He pulled out his phone, opened the "add contact" screen, and handed it to Leah. "Oh, I just remember. I don't have your contact information yet. Let's exchange numbers. It'll make communication for work matters easier."
Leah thought it over and found it reasonable.
