After the Divorce, I Took Revenge on My Ex-husband novel Chapter 297

Chapter 297 Killing Invisibly

“Ms. Potter, Mr. Olson has been waiting for you for a long time. Let’s get inside first!”

Janice felt that the further she went there, the more eerie and scary it became.

That house seemed isolated from the world, like a haunted house, which made people shudder.

She looked around and found that it was a place far away from the urban area. Houses nearby were empty, with no trace of life.

When she walked in, Alexander led her straight to the basement.

“Ms. Potter, Mr. Olson is waiting for you in the basement.”

This made Janice even more puzzled. The basement?

She finally realized something was wrong, but it was too late.

When Janice walked into the basement, what caught her eye was a bloody and unpleasant sight.

A man was tied to an iron frame with his hands covered in blood.

His white shirt was soaked with blood. It scared her so much that she couldn’t help but take a few steps back.

What she saw next was Adrian sitting there with a severe look on his face.

“Adrian? Why did you bring me here?”

Adrian gently lifted his thoughtful eyes and scrutinized her.

Then he stood up slowly, meeting Janice’s dodging eyes.

Janice looked away as if deliberately hiding her anxiety.

“I’d like you to meet someone. He should be your acquaintance.

“Alexander, wake him up.”

Alexander got the order. He raised a bucket of water with ice cubes and threw it at the man.

The man tied to the rack was aroused and raised his head suddenly.

When he saw that it was Janice before him, his eyes widened immediately, and tears welled up, trying to beg for mercy.

But as his mouth was blocked, so he could only wail in pain.

Janice had never seen such a bloody scene before. She was so frightened that her legs gave way and fell to the ground.

“Wha… what’s going on? Adrian, I’m afraid…”

Even so, Janice still felt there would be a glimmer of hope.

But Adrian’s patience had been exhausted.

He stepped forward and slowly squatted down. Seeing Janice’s dull face, his gaze immediately dimmed.

His eyes were like dark black rivers, full of grief and resentment.

“Don’t you know him? His name is Luke, a director of a hospital. As far as I know, you even got some medicine from him, didn’t you?”

Hearing these words, Janice finally came to her sense.
