“What you said is true, but I’ve saved the damsel in distress, so how could you be so ruthless, Ms. Madeline? Are you going to leave an injured person outside?” Noah blocked the door and put on an innocent expression, slowly breaking Madeline’s defense.

“Wayne, do you want to go work in the fields in Alewell?!” Noah stared at Wayne, who was still dumbfounded. His eyes were filled with disgust, and it was as if he was saying, “Get lost! Otherwise, I’ll skin you alive!”
