Chapter 1392 The Sweet Goodbyes and Separation
"Finally, you guys are back. I was about to call and remind you if you didn't come back soon."
She had been missing the children. She didn't care whether Tessa and Nicholas agreed to it or not, but she was going to watch the children for a few days. "The children will stay with me at the mansion for a while. Once I'm satisfied, I'll send them back."
Nicholas nodded in agreement and said, "Sure, I'll have the servants pack their things, and you can take them with you."
Tessa had no objections.
As her days were filled with rehearsals, taking care of the children, and rehabilitation exercises, she was already exhausted. Moreover, Gordon was practically glued to her. If Stefania could help out, it would mean that Tessa would be able to catch her breath.
That evening, Stefania picked up the children while Gordon was asleep because she worried that Gordon might not want to leave Tessa. Soon after she left, Kieran and Timothy arrived for dinner.
During the meal, they chatted and laughed. Kieran even brought up the news of Tessa's recent performance. "My sister-in-law's fame is now higher than those celebrities."
"Can they even compare to my sister?" Timothy thought those celebrities weren't worthy enough to be compared to his sister.
Kieran was speechless. "I mean, do you need to argue about this?"
"Tim is right. Those celebrities can't hold a candle to your sister." Nicholas agreed with Timothy's opinion.
Kieran was completely speechless.
"Okay, arguing about this with you guys when you are obsessed with your sister and wife is pointless. I'd rather drink," he said and raised his beer to drink.
Nicholas ignored him and turned to a more serious topic. "I found out that the Quinn Family used their connections to get Harper released. The matter was pushed aside and blamed on an irrelevant subordinate. Although they haven't caused any trouble recently, you should still be cautious."
"I've been keeping an eye out and have also hired some bodyguards," Timothy replied as he explained his arrangements.
Nicholas offered his assistance. "If you need anything, you can come to me."
Timothy nodded and then changed the topic. "My study abroad program has been confirmed. I'm going abroad next month," he said.
Tessa was taken aback by the news. "You're leaving next month? Isn't it almost time for Christmas? That's so fast," she said.
"I want to leave early and return early," Timothy replied, knowing his sister would be reluctant to see him go. Actually, he would miss her as well.
She nodded in understanding and said, "That's a good idea. The earlier you go, the more time you'll have to learn."
Regardless, she couldn't hold her brother back.
But…
She turned to Sabrina with concern and asked, "What do you think?"
Her brother and Sabrina had only just gotten together, but they would soon be separated. They had to be reluctant to be apart from one another.
Sabrina understood what Tessa was implying. "I will stay here and help to manage the company while waiting for Tim to come back," she said and smiled sweetly at Timothy.
He smiled and took the girl's hand to hold it tightly.
Tessa looked at the sweet couple and smiled with satisfaction.
After finishing their meal, they sat in the living room chatting. Tessa and Sabrina talked about the children while the men talked about work.
Under the yellow light, the atmosphere in the living room was pleasant and heart-warming.
Later that evening, when it was getting late, Kieran and Timothy said their goodbyes.
Looking at Timothy and Sabrina holding hands, Kieran felt slightly emotional. "I won't walk with you guys. I don't want to be the third wheel," he joked before waving and leaving first.
Timothy and Sabrina exchanged a smile.
Suddenly, Sabrina suggested, "Why don't we walk back home?"
