Hearing that, Edward nodded and went to make the arrangement.
Nicholas turned to Tessa and was about to say something, but she beat him to it with a smile. "Go on. I'll wait for you here."
Nicholas nodded and quickly went to hold the meeting.
The meeting lasted two hours.
When he returned, Nicholas still didn't look good. He exuded a terrifying aura.
Edward trembled as he followed him behind.
However, when he saw Tessa, his eyes instantly lit up.
Mistress, please help in coaxing President Sawyer.
He hinted at Tessa with his eyes.
She walked up to Nicholas after taking Edward's hint. "Calm down. Being angry isn't good for your health."
"I'm fine."
Though he reassured her, Nicholas couldn't help but frown as he felt a headache.
Tessa felt sorry for him and quickly offered him a massage.
Instead of talking about work, she asked, "How does this feel?"
"Great. Thanks, honey."
Nicholas indulged in her warm embrace.
Smiling lightly, Tessa increased her strength when she felt the man in her embrace relax.
Watching how Nicholas' expression had softened, Edward breathed a sigh of relief.
Thankfully, Tessa was here today, or he might not be able to stay alive tonight.
In reality, though Nicholas calmed down a lot due to her massage, he was still quite annoyed.
As his wife, Tessa immediately noticed.
When she found the opportunity, she comforted him, "I might not know what's happening, but I think we should take it slow. We'll certainly be able to get rid of all the unpleasant people one day."
Her words, coupled with the determined look on her face to go against his enemy, elicited a laugh out of Nicholas.
"You're right. Let's take our time. One day, we'll be able to teach all of them a lesson."
While saying that, he yanked her down and pulled her onto his lap.
Tessa felt embarrassed since Edward was still here, but she didn't struggle to break free.
Edward, on the other hand, pretended to look away as if not noticing them.
Just then, Nicholas uttered, "It's dinner time now. Get the hotel under our company to send dinner over."
"Yes, sir."
Edward took the order and left.
Soon, the staff from the hotel delivered dinner to them.
Nicholas invited Tessa for the meal.
After the meal, he noticed it was getting late, so he called Edward over. "Send Tessa home."
Edward nodded and obeyed his order.
Tessa agreed willingly. After leaving home for the whole afternoon, she was starting to worry about the children.
Before she left, she went up to Nicholas and tidied his clothes while reminding him, "I'll head back now. Don't get angry, okay? It's not worth it to sacrifice your health for those people."
"Alright. Be careful on the way home. Call me if anything comes up. I might be back home late tonight," Nicholas explained.
Tessa felt bad for his busy schedule and shook her head, "What can happen to me at home? Just work with peace of mind. If you're going to stay up late, just sleep in the office lounge. Gordon is definitely going to make a fuss tonight. You won't be able to sleep well."
"I'm fine. I'm not that tired."
The reason he didn't find it a big deal was that he didn't want to be separated from Tessa.
Tessa could read his mind, so she insisted, "No way. You won't be able to get enough sleep if this goes on. Just listen to me. I'll come over tomorrow morning with a change of clothes and breakfast. I just don't want you to tire yourself out. Don't make me worried, alright?"
Nicholas could no longer resist her last sentence.
Eventually, he nodded in agreement.
On the way back, Tessa asked Edward, "Is it a very troublesome matter?"
"That's not it. It's just that the shareholders are all very cunning. We haven't been able to control them recently, so they started becoming greedy," Edward briefly explained.
Tessa frowned. "Why can't you control them?"
