"He's at home with the nanny," Nicholas answered with a smile.
Then, Tessa turned her head to speak to Gregory.
Along the journey, his sweet and cute voice reverberated in the car.
They soon arrived home, and Tessa went straight to the children's room with Gregory.
Gordon was already sound asleep, and Tessa felt her heart bursting with warmth.
Even though she had been video calling the children during these two weeks, it wasn't comparable to seeing them in person.
She wanted to hug Gordon but was afraid of jostling him awake. So, she could only suppress the desire in her heart as she leaned down to plant a gentle kiss on his forehead.
Of course, she didn't forget about Gregory. The little guy even started jumping with joy when he received a kiss.
He wanted Tessa to sleep with him that night, but Nicholas' cold voice came from the door, "You're sleeping on your own. Your mommy has to accompany me." Then, he forcefully pulled Tessa to him.
Gregory was angry but couldn't do anything but release a huff, "Bad Daddy!"
However, Nicholas didn't care one whit and led Tessa back to their room.
As soon as they entered, he turned around and pulled her into his arms, and a passionate kiss landed on her lips to show how terribly he had missed her.
Tessa was taken aback by his actions but still wrapped her arms around his neck and responded with a kiss of her own. The night was still long.
When Tessa woke up the next day, it was already late, and Nicholas wasn't in the room. Nonetheless, she didn't mind as she got up to freshen up.
Then, she went downstairs to see Gregory playing with Gordon in the living room.
Gregory heard the rustling sounds of her dress and turned to the side to see Tessa. The smile on his face became wider. "Mommy, you're awake?!"
He dashed into her arms, and she picked him up.
"What are you playing with Gordon?" she asked as she strode to the couch Gordon was on.
Gregory wrapped his arms around her neck and said in his sweet voice, "I am talking to Gordon."
Then, as if he suddenly thought of something, he struggled to jump down from Tessa's embrace.
He ran to Gordon and helped him sit up before pointing at Tessa and instructing, "Gordon, this is Mommy. You have to say 'Mommy'."
