Chapter 506
When Hathaway heard this, she immediately stopped jesting and asked concernedly, "How is your grandfather?"
Tessa, who was next to Scott, also looked at him with concern as well.
Scott had helped her a lot, and he was like a teacher and a friend to Tessa. So it was only normal for her to be concerned with his affairs.
When he saw how concerned they were, he immediately told them about his grandfather, Mateo Brooks' condition. "Now that his health condition is under control, he’ll only need to be hospitalized for a bit and receive treatment before he can return home and recuperate."
That's good to hear." Hathaway smiled. Shortly after, she suddenly suggested. "Is it alright if I pay him a visit in the afternoon? I have nothing to do anyway."
"Sure." Scott readily agreed. Then, he looked at Tessa expectantly. "Miss Reinhart, do you want to come with us?"
Hathaway also turned to look at Tessa when she heard that.
It was difficult for Tessa to refuse without coming off as impolite, so she could only nod her head in agreement.
Therefore, Scott took them to the hospital after lunch.
When they reached the VIP ward, it was just as Scott had said. Mateo's medical condition improved greatly, and he looked fine.
Although the years had left their marks on him, the refined temperament was engraved in Mateo's heart and soul.
Thus, he still looked like a noble-looking elder despite being sick and confined to bed rest.
Apart from Mateo, Scott's parents, Samuel Brooks and Eleanor Bourbon, were present too. Through them, one could see how Scott grew up so well, with their refined manners and courteous manner.
They were well-dressed for someone in their early 40s. But, perhaps because they made an effort to maintain their health, they looked like they were still in their 30s.
They were welcoming and gracious hosts when they saw Scott bringing guests over.
"Please, have some fruits." Eleanor handed the sliced fruits to Gregory with a kindly smile on her face.
Gregory smiled and thanked her sweetly.
"Thank you, Mrs. Brooks."
"Such a good boy." Eleanor's gaze softened even more at his manners.
At this moment, Scott also handed a peeled apple to Tessa. "This apple is a new variety imported from abroad. It's delightful. Please give it a try.”
"Thank you." Tessa thanked him and took the offered apple slice politely.
Meanwhile, Samuel and Eleanor caught sight of their interaction, and they felt that it might be a sign that their son might be interested in her.
That was because they had never seen Scott being this attentive with other girls before.
So, his actions naturally aroused their curiosity regarding Tessa.
Therefore, Eleanor took the initiative, accosted Tessa, and asked, "Miss Reinhart, what do you do?"
Tessa was slightly startled at the abrupt line of inquiry. However, she quickly recovered and said truthfully, "I'm also a violinist, but I'm merely a student. This is my teacher, Miss Hathaway."
She gestured toward Hathaway and introduced her to them politely.
When Samuel and Eleanor heard her answer, they were delighted.
A violinist? That's good. They share the same interests.
Due to this, the smile on Eleanor's face deepened as she had a good impression of Tessa. "Miss Reinhart, since you're Miss Hathaway's student, I'm sure you must be on par with Scott in terms of skills."
"Oh, no. I still have much to learn from Mr. Brooks," Tessa said modestly.
Even so, Samuel and Eleanor felt that the two would make a lovely couple.
At this moment, Gregory grabbed Tessa's hand and retorted eagerly, "Miss Tessa, you're not bad at all. You're amazing!"
She felt warmth swell in her heart as she heard his genuine compliments. "Thank you, Greg. I appreciate it."
As she spoke, she hugged him affectionately.
