Chapter 510
As Tessa hugged Gregory, she looked up and said with a smile, "It's settled then. You two will sleep in one room tonight while Gregory and I will sleep in the other."
The corners of Nicholas' mouth twitched.
Once again, he was sure that his son was his love rival.
However, all he could do was look helplessly at his son, who was all snuggled in her arms, and answered in resignation, "It’s fine. I'll sleep on the couch tonight."
Whatever the case was, he wouldn't sleep with Timothy.
Naturally, Timothy heard the disdain in Nicholas' tone and let out a soft snort. "As it happens, I don't want to sleep with you either."
Tessa suddenly felt a headache coming when she saw the two men about to go head-to-head with each other yet again.
Of course, she felt distressed for Nicholas too.
She glanced at the couch, which was on the shorter end, and persuaded, " rhe couch is too small, so you should sleep with Timothy tonight."
"It's fine."
Nicholas insisted on sleeping on the couch; thus, it left Tessa with no choice but to take Gregory to get ready for bed.
It was midnight and everyone was sound asleep.
That was the case with Tessa as she slept soundly with Gregory.
At this moment, the room door was slowly pushed open before a tall, dark shadow walked in.
Tessa wasn’t in a deep sleep, so she was awakened by the minuscule noise.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw a dark shadow approaching, which caught her off
guard and caused her to reflexively ask in fear, "Who is it?"
"It’s me."
Nicholas responded, then squeezed onto the bed without saying a word.
Her frightened heart eased when she heard the familiar voice and caught a whiff of his familiar scent.
She stared at the man beside her in astonishment and asked, "Why are you here?"
"The couch outside is too small, and it's uncomfortable," he answered truthfully.
Then, she watched as he suddenly leaned into her ear and added in a low and charming voice, "And I couldn't fall asleep without you."
Tessa's heart filled with sweetness when she heard Nicholas' moving statement.
Then, while she gently hugged Gregory, she scooted inward and answered in a lowered
voice, "Get some rest."
Nicholas decisively rested beside Tessa when he heard her unspoken invitation, then took advantage of the situation to hold her in his arms.
"Let's sleep."
His voice was barely above a whisper as he lowered his head and kissed her forehead.
She nodded, placed one arm around Nicholas' waist, and closed her eyes to rest.
Under the moonlight, the two held each other and slept while Gregory slept sweetly beside them. The heartwarming scene looked like it was out of an oil painting,
The next day, when Gregory woke up and saw his father hogging Tessa, it was no surprise that the child was livid.
However, he was obedient enough not to disturb Nicholas and Tessa but simply glared at his father with his arms crossed over his chest.
Bad Daddy. He said he would sleep on the couch by himself, but he snatched Miss Tessa while I was asleep.
Perhaps Gregory’s gaze was too piercing because Nicholas woke up after a while.
"Bad Daddy!" Gregory immediately pouted and complained in a soft voice when he saw that Nicholas was awake.
