MEGHAN's POV

"Gov ..." We were in the living room when one of his staff called Lucas. My chest throbbed harder. They exited and reached the garage.

I came a little closer to hear them talk. I have a hunch that Gov. has a plan for everything that happens.

"Gov, what are you going to do with her? Are we going to get her?" his staff asked.

"Do what all you want," Lucas said without emotion here.

"Mr. Rivers wants her. It looks like we will earn a lot from her."

I may be confused but I know what he is referring to! So I need to know their real plan before I get caught!

"Isn't that the sister of your adopted Gov?" I was suddenly drenched in blood when I heard what the man said.

"You act without a hanger,"

I went inside before Gov. What do they mean? What sister? I suddenly remembered Francine! Shit! My sister's turned out to be that impact!

What are their plans for Francine? I saw that Gov seemed to be in a hurry to leave. He got in his car and left.

I had the opportunity to enter his office. I would have turned the door when someone pulled me.

"I miss you ..." I was surprised when he kissed my lips. I was leaning against the side door of Gov.

I just smiled at what he said. I can smell her scent that makes me even more attractive every time I smell it.

"I miss you too," I replied smiling at him. I just stared as he just stared.

He was looking at my lips, so I looked up even more. It was as if we understood each other as we stared. He immediately turned the doorknob and it opened.

We went inside, the clean office of Gov. I immediately searched the folders nearby. But no, just paperwork. Euward helped me find evidence.

A few more minutes passed, but I still could not see anything, Luke was just so smart. He made sure that it would not be found immediately.

"Hale ..." I turned around, first time he called me by my second name.

He was holding a brown folder. We opened it and saw a contract.

I was stunned by Euward and so was he. I even opened the contents of the folder. And I saw pictures!

"I did not know he was doing this," Euward said while not believing what he saw.

He's a syndicate. And he himself plotted the disappearance of women in the area. We saw a few pictures of them naked while asleep.

I can't move from what I see. Seriously? How does he do these things? Anyway, if he had adopted me, he would have done it.

We opened the other contents of the folder, we found a paper there. Payment?

"W-what is that?" I asked.

"Payment for every woman," Euward said confidently. He was even more surprised when he found something in an envelope.

"W-what is that?"

Suddenly his face was serious.

"It's a drugs," he said.

Why does he know so much?

"What are we going to do?" I asked in fear, because I did not expect him to spread drugs in his area! That what is good in the eyes of all governors is just a syndicate!

He suddenly took a picture of the papers along with the drug and he quickly returned it to the container.

"What are you doing? Aren't we going to get that?" I asked him.

He immediately pulled me out of the office and closed it. Instead of going through the kitchen, we went straight to the back.

I would have spoken more when I heard the footsteps approaching. I peeked a little at the door. And I saw Gov enter his office.

I watched Euward calmly walk to the pool.

"How did you know he was coming?" I asked confused.

"I heard his car," he seemed to know everything. I really don't know that he is already inside the house.

"What about the evidence?" I asked him.

"There's a right time to do it. Not now," he said seriously to me and held my hand.

I don't know but I feel safe. I am safe that he is here again.

"You two are just here." We were surprised by Lucas voice. I was suddenly nervous, did he notice?

Euward looked at me and said I calmed down. I adjusted before turning to her. He kissed me on the cheek. And touched my waist before facing Euward.

"Yeah, Euward accompanies me here at the pool, I'm bored," I lied.

I can see how his fist clenched. I am the one who worries. I looked at him, he seemed to get it and his fists slowly opened.

"Yeah Dad, actually, Meghan and I are planning to go outside. Can I borrow her? My s-step-mom?"

She was a little stunned when the step-mom said. I know that's not what he wanted, and he was embarrassed to call me that. But we have no choice, we need to pretend.

"Ofcourse, so you can bond. I will also leave and I may be late for home," said the Gov. which made me happy. It was good and he didn't ask any more questions.

"I have to go Honey," he said and kissed me on the lips before he left. I want to be angry but Lucas might notice us.

For a few minutes Euward looked at me badly, nah, on my lips. When we made sure LucS was gone, I was surprised when he pulled me in. We go straight to CR.

"Brush your teeth carefully!" he commanded. I laughed, so I smiled at his behavior.

"What ?!" he asked irritably while looking badly at my lips.

"Are you jealous," I laughed in response to him and smiled.

He just stared at me before I entered the CR. I brushed my teeth as he said.

I can't help but smile, he is so possessive. After brushing my teeth, I went out when I saw him still cross-armed while looking at me.

"Are you still here?"

He pulled me up to Lucas' room and me again. He sat on the sofa while looking at me.

"I'll get dressed," I said shyly.
