An Orphan for a wife novel Chapter 4

MEGHAN's POV

I was going downstairs when I saw them watching t.v.

"Poor Sir. Accused."

"He's still smart."

That’s what I caught them talking about in front of T.V. They were stunned to see me approaching. I was curious about what they were talking about so I approached.

"Ma'am Meghan ..." the maid said with a bow.

"And what's going on?" I asked them.

" Ma'am, governer was suspected by that woman," said one of our maids.

"What ?! Where is he, Gov?"

"They are now in the precint Ma'am with Mr. Andres and their attorney Mr. Villar," the butler said.

"Mang Ely? Please, the car is ready. I will go to Gov," I called our driver.

"But ma'am Meghan, Sir said don't follow him," said one maid.

"Manang, I need to see Gov okay," I said and left the house.

I was about to get into the car when Gov's car arrived with Mr. Villar.

"Gov! Attorney," I greeted hem.

They came down and Gov scolded me and I waved to the Attorney.

"What happened Gov?" I asked them. We went inside first and they prepared a drink.

"Everything is fine, Baby girl. Don't worry about me okay? The court did not believe on her," said Gov. The thorn in my chest was removed so I could breathe easily.

"They can't ruin my name. Okay?" convincing me by Gov.

I was convinced so I nodded. It's good that I thought he would be imprisoned.

This is not the first time someone has complained to him like that. This is the fourth time and the case is always about rape. That is why they just dismissed the woman's lawsuit because it was impossible for the gov to that things.

I went to school, it's okay to be late because It's just only a practice and get a toga. Well, after four years of college I can also graduate from Polscie.

That's because I see my future. I can replace Gov. That's why I did not hesitate to follow that because he will also pay for everything.

I got to school. Their practice is over and they are getting a toga.

"Meg! Gian has been looking for you before?" Sapp greeted me.

"For what?" I asked.

"For your toga. There are other expectations," she teased.

"Congratulations, Francine! You're really great!" I heard the praise of the friends.

So I raised an eyebrow and approached the bulletin board. It was late because the professors computed the grade so it was only posted here.

Others waved when they saw me approaching the bulletin. Well, I expected this, that I was sumacumlaude--

"Omy! YOU'RE THE MAGNACUMLAUDE, MEG! Congratssss!" Sapphire shouted at me and hugged me.

I was disappointed to see my name written on magnacumlaude. I looked up and saw Francine's name.

I stared at her badly but she smiled at me like a fool.

"BULSHIT!" I shouted and hurriedly left.

I saw Sapp chasing me. I got to the field and dropped the toga I was carrying on the table.

"Stupid Francine! You're stupid asshole," Let me sit down.

"Meg, atleast you're a magnacumlaude. Don't you want it?" Sapp asked

"WHAT I WANT TO DO IS NOT MAGNACUMLAUDE! AND OF ALL PEOPLE WILL GET A POSITION THAT IS FRANCINE?!" I shouted as I clenched my fist.

"Megs, for sure Tito Lucas will also be happy. And he will be proud of you," said Sapp.

"He expected me to be Sumacumlaude. And I don't want to disappoint him! Especially Mom and Dad!"

"Calm down, we can't do anything, Megs. At least you still got the second one. I didn't make it to the top 10," she calmed me down.

She's right, there is nothing I can do to take that position. But I can do something for her. Farewell for her. I smiled at the thought of a bright idea.

"I don't like that smile, Meg," Sapp said scared.
