Anton Brotherhood novel Chapter 21

“Seeing Anton Williams was kind of staring into space, Camille White took his hand and said, “Fool, what are you looking at? Come in and take a seat!”

Anton blushed, secretly scolded himself that he acted like Zak-Willis-entering-the-city. Anton Williams sat on the sofa in the atrium and asked, “Dear, where are your sister and your brother?”

Camille, sitting next to Anton, said, “My sister is upstairs, but I don't know what she is doing right there. My brother is not at home, and it seems that he won't be back very soon! There are quite a lot for him to handle in the gang recently!”

At that, Anton was kind of disappointed, as he expected that he could meet this awesome man, but it turned out to be a pity for he was not at home. Anton heaved a sigh and utter an “ah…”. Seeing Anton like this, Camille was a little unhappy, putting her hand on his arm and said, “Hey, you look disappointed! I wonder if you are coming to see me or my brother?”

Anton did not notice Camille's facial expression. She said, “Both, but I really want to meet your brother!” Just as these words were spoken, Anton felt a pain in the arm. As he looked down, it was Camille White's hand that was “fondling” his arm!

With an forced smile on his face, Anton said to Camille, “Dear, it's completely OK not to meet with your brother, because I am satisfied as long as I can see you,!”

Hearing this, Camille smiled, “Hum! It is your luck and honor to meet such a beauty like me!” Anton nodded, figuring to himself that it was right to call her a beauty but it was also true that she was kind of childish.

Camille turned on the TV and said to Anton Williams, “You watch the TV for a while, and I'll cook the dishes! After it's finished, I'll make sure you have an endless aftertaste!” Camille delivered Anton a smile and walked into the kitchen. Anton Williams shivered and muttered in a whisper, “I don't need any aftertaste and it's OK as long as the dish is human food.”

Camille stood at the kitchen’s door and asked, “Anton, what were you saying?” “Ah. Nothing. I said I could not wait to taste it!” “Oh! Don't worry, it will be done in a minute, very soon!” “…”

Anton leaned on the sofa, watching the TV. At this moment, Dolores White walked down from the upstairs, “When did you arrive, Anton?”

Spotting where the voice was from, Anton turned his head around. He was surprised and amazed at what he saw. Dolores really dolled up, with her face slightly powdered, which made her delicate face even more lovely. A white dress swung as Dolores walked, making her look like an elegant and graceful fairy. Anton was in a trance for a moment, and said, “I just arrived, Camille invited me to try her new dish!”

Dolores smiled and took a glimpse at the kitchen's hurry-scurry Camille, and then she sat by Anton's side, and whispered in his ear, “Camille's cooking is a disaster. Will you really take it?” Anton Williams only felt a whiff of orchid aroma was wafting toward him as Dolores whispered to him.

Feeling quite hot, Anton stood up to be a bit more distanced from Dolores White and then nodded. In fact, Anton did not hear a word clearly of what Dolores had said, as his head was fully occupied by Dolores's fragrance.

Silence gradually generated a smell of awkwardness in the air. Luckily, Camille came out of the kitchen with a dish. “Anton! The dish is finished, and let us have lunch together. Hah, my sister, you're here as well. Let's eat together!” Camille White's voice broke the dullness of the atrium.

Anton took the opportunity to walk into the kitchen and said, “I'll get you bowl and chopsticks.” Looking at Anton's back, Dolores felt not so happy, and then she stood up and said, “Sister, I help you with the rice!”

Camille put the dish on the table, looking at the two people, noticing something was going around on these two's looks.

As the three people sat around the table, Camille smiled and pointed to the dishes on the table and said, “This is what I learned yesterday, and that is what I learned today, and the one on the left side is…”

Anton looked at the meals without words. There was absolutely no doubt that those meals looked definitely not tasting good. They were either dark, ball-like things, or colorful and sticky dumplings. Seeing the two people were both in hesitation, Camille White looked at them, and said anxiously, “Hey, take the meals quickly, or they will be cold very soon!”

Dolores frowned and shook her head, putting a piece of food into her mouth, and chewed and then stopped. Camille asked nervously, “Sister, is it good?” Dolores waited a while, swallowed the dish in her mouth, squeezed a smile, and said, “Not bad. It's delicious!”

“Hearing this, Camille was triumphant and happy and put a piece of black flake-like food to Anton. “Taste this, it must be delicious!”

Anton Williams looked at Camille White's hopeful smiling face, and looked at the black unknowns in the bowl, thinking that whether eating this thing will poison him. Closing his eyes, he put the piece into his mouth. The first feeling was salty and bitter, and then it became extremely salty and bitter. The second feeling was that this thing was too hard to bite and chew. Camille smiled and said, “Anton, how about you?”

“Anton Williams pretended to eat with appetite and said, “Good, great! This beef is really good!”

“Hey! This is my potato chip!” “…” Dolores White burst into laughter.

The next morning, Anton Williams told the family that today they would go on a class journey, and might not be back at night. At noon, Anton Williams told Carl Ford and several of his men that he would go to H City at 5 p.m. to see if he could get acquainted with Lam Longman. His followers wanted to go with him, but he refused, saying that too many people in accompany would arouse suspicion from the other side.

Everyone saw that Anton Williams had made up his mind. No more questions were raised, and they accompanied Anton to the passenger center., Along the journey, Carl Ford elaborated the market price of the white powder and Anton kept it tightly in mind. Arriving at the passenger station, Anton Williams waved goodbye to his fellow men and got on the bus to H City. Looking at the fading figure of the bus Jasper Smith asked Carl Ford, “Brother, Will Boss Williams be in danger?”
