Autumn's Point of View
“Autumn!” A voice of a girl shouted, she looked like me, but we had a bit of differences.
I smiled at her and she hugged me.
“I missed you, Spring.” I said happily.
“I missed you too, sister.” She then pulled me towards a house that felt familiar, but didn't look familiar.
You get what I mean?
“Mom and Dad! She's back!” The girl named Spring, who is also currently pulling me, shouted. I looked down once we got to where they are.
“Where did you go?” My mother asked.
“Somewhere.” I simply answered, but of course, they'd never buy it.
“Somewhere for a week?” My father asked with a brow raised.
I clenched my fists.
“Yeah, so what?” I answered, trying hard to not go berserk in front of them.
Mother rolled her eyes, “Let's get in. All she'd ever done was to make trouble anyway, I don't really care where she'd gone to.”
With that, my father nodded and they walked inside the house without ever looking back at me.
Ever since, I always shouldered the mistakes of my sister. She mostly had faults and was prone to making wrong decisions. I was always there to back her up and blame all the wrong things she'd done to myself.
She's fragile, she doesn't know how to defend herself, she's a princess and as for me.... I'm a sister who never really had a chance to do something for myself, add the fact that she doesn't even defend me.
I broke away from my sister's grasp which made her look at me with confusion, “What? What's wrong?”
“Nothing. I just thought that you'd somehow defend me to our own parents, but nevermind, you can't do it.”
She's the favourite child, she's the one they praise, all because I don't excel much on the subjects that they chose for us both to take.
Yep, like a college thingy in highschool. Only rich people could do.
I walked inside and headed upstairs, to our room, everything's so pretty and I'm the opposite.
Oh, did I mention that we're twins? Yeah, twins, but we still had features that are of course, not the same. Oh, taste of style as well.
She ran after me and then hugged me once again, this time, I pushed her away which made her frown, “What's wrong with you?”
“I'm dirty, you shouldn't hug me, I'd only ruin the look of what you're wearing right now.” I coldly told her.
She then made me face her, “But you were just hugging me earlier.”
I clicked my tongue at her and headed to our bathroom.
“I'm sorry,” She looked down, “for being the favourite child.”
I faced her with tears streaming down my cheeks, shocked at what she said.
“It's all because of the course that they gave us.” She explained, “I had the skills they liked, but they never considered where and what type of thing that you're really suited for.”
I then smiled at her, “It's fine. I'm sorry for being rude to you, but I'm tired of this life.”
Then everything slowly faded and my vision turned black, feeling a pair of hands on my mine.
So it's all just a dream?
“Please wake up, the twins will miss their cosplayer nanny, you know?” A very familiar voice said.
I slowly opened my eyes and smiled when Jaxon, my boss came into view, “Cosplayer nanny? That's funny.”
His face lit up and he immediately gave me a glass of water for my voice wasn't good it was rather croaky.
“How are you feeling?” He asked smiling and as if he just realized that he was holding me, he awkwardly let my hand go.
I then gave him a forced smile, “Fine.”
Right then, he frowned which made me have jumbled feelings inside.
“For now, don't treat me like your boss, it's fine.” He gently whispered and then a tear slowly slid down my cheek as the memories of yesterday came flashing back.
“It's alright now, you're safe, you're safe.” He assured me which made me unconsciously hold his hand and then I sobbed, trying my best to keep it down.
He then suddenly hugged me, his body heat is relaxing that I hugged him back.
Like he wanted to, I'ma treat him as a friend... even just for a little while.
* * *
After those crying sessions, I fell asleep after, it was like the sleep that I had was still not enough.
The dream was still the same, no cut outs, no difference, still me and the person named Spring.
I then woke up and the curtains are opened and the sun was shining on, Sir Jaxon's face this time.
He looks...cute.
I lightly slapped my cheeks.
What the hell Autumn?
“Oh, you're awake.” My friend Lea whispered.
“You okay? This boss of yours had been sleeping for quite a while beside you.” She smirked and wriggled her eyebrows.
“Shut up, Lea.” I rolled my eyes and clicked my tongue at her.
She chuckled and then did I only realized that behind her, is the twins.
“They're here?”
“Yeah, ever since yesterday. They didn't really leave the room, especially that man beside you, what's his name?”
“Jaxon Parker.”
“Oh, the one with the hotel company thingy?”
“Yes.”
Again, she smirked, “Do you... um.. you know, ki—”
Before she could say anything more, I glared at her which made her shut her mouth.
“Are they the only one here? Then how about his house...” I thought of things deeply, the way the woman that strangled me looked like, this and that.
“Oh, nah, Mr. Jaxon Parker had an assistant with him, someone a bit younger? But they seem to be casual together.” Lea explained which made me collect my thoughts once again.
