She had originally planned to call Osvaldo, but Stanley insisted on sending her back himself. Besides, she felt guilty about the man and didn't want to tire him out too much.
Her dark eyes looked at Osvaldo and she asked softly, "Have you been waiting for me here all night?"
Osvaldo looked at Selena's expression and knew exactly what she was thinking.
He smiled but didn't say anything. Instead, he embraced Selena and looked up at Stanley politely. "Thank you, Mr. Soo. I'll take Selena home first."
Stanley smiled gently and reminded Selena, "You haven't slept all night, so make sure you rest well when you get home."
Selena felt a bit uneasy watching the two men exchange pleasantries, but she couldn't figure out why. She smiled at Stanley and obediently got into Osvaldo's car.
Stanley watched the car disappear from view and then turned back to the estate.
Both Black Crow and White Crow had been up all night.
With the troubles inside the empire, Selena's experiences in the capital, and the reappearance of "Divine Love," the two sides had spent the whole night exchanging information.
Stanley sat down where Selena had been sitting, smiling. "Black Crow, White Crow, aren't you going to tell me anything about her and that man?"
Black Crow froze, and White Crow's expression was complicated.
Selena had only told Stanley about official matters and had not mentioned anything about her personal affairs.
Stanley, being himself, was bound to ask them this question sooner or later.
And this was precisely the question that Black Crow and White Crow least wanted to answer...
Stanley smiled elegantly. "Let me guess. The reason I haven't received any information about her is because this man has deliberately suppressed all news about her and sent it to the empire?"
Black Crow and White Crow couldn't deny it at all.
Stanley chuckled meaningfully. "What kind of person is he, who has been able to hide all this information in the nose of the entire Riddle Empire for so long? Does he already know her identity, all her secrets, and her relationship with me, and is he pretending to be a kind and gentle person who knows nothing in front of her?"
Stanley knew Selena too well.
If Osvaldo had initially given Selena too dangerous an impression, she would never have had any contact with him.
The girl he raised was deeply influenced by aristocratic etiquette since childhood. The prerequisite for her to develop a fondness for a man is that he must be gentle and courteous. Obviously, the man also knew this, so he was always extremely gentle and polite in front of Selena.
A moment of silence.
Even Stanley, who had exceptional self-control, couldn't help but laugh out loud at this moment. "You would rather see her being deceived by a man than tell me that she's in Creephia..."
White Crow frowned. "It's not what you think. That man really loves her..."
Stanley asked calmly, "Is there anyone in this world who loves her more than I do?"
The two brothers choked up together.
They didn't know how much Osvaldo loved Selena, but they knew how much Stanley loved her. Therefore, this incomparable question was doomed to have no answer.
Stanley smiled with a gentle and pleasant voice, permeating a hint of coldness. "My queen died on her eighteenth birthday."
"Then in her nineteenth year, she became someone else's bride..."
Black Crow and White Crow were horrified in an instant.
