Behind him, separated by the darkness that covered the ground, Christ stood in the cold night wind with his head down, surrounded by a strong sense of sadness and regret.

Selena walked into the warm villa amidst the silence.

Osvaldo stood on the steps with his back to her, watching her come in.

Selena smiled and walked over to him.

The man naturally reached out and hugged Selena's waist, leading her into the cozy living room.

They had dinner together and Osvaldo accompanied Selena for a walk in the garden afterwards.

Because they were about to leave and there were many things to deal with at both Research Institute and Capital University, Selena slipped away for a while before returning to her study to arrange things.

Osvaldo escorted her back to her study before staring at how focused she was on working overtime for a while before turning around and leaving.

Osvaldo went downstairs, came into the living room briefly then left through front door of villa.

Underneath dim streetlights Christ still hadn't left yet.

Hearing footsteps approaching him he lifted his head up; his eyes staring crimsonly at Osvaldo without much surprise on his face.

This man was definitely more aware than anyone else of any changes in Selena's demeanor.

Perhaps holding onto that last bit of hope that refused to give up; Christ waited here.

And as expected; Osvaldo... appeared.
