Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 101

Chapter 101

Rachel shook her head and refused. “If I didn’t know the meaning of this bracelet, I might have kept it. Well, since I knew that its meaning is extraordinary, why would I keep it?”

There was nothing worthy of reflection between her and the Smith family.

The only person she found attached to was probably this old man in front of her.

During the three years when Rachel was in the Smith family, she had been looked down upon. Only the old man in front of her, who was about the same age as her maternal grandfather, truly doted on her and cared for her in every way.

Old Mr. Smith knew Rachel well. He knew that there was basically no room for negotiation when she had made a decision.

He sighed and gave a bitter smile. He picked up the red brocade box and said regretfully, “Louis doesn’t get the luck to have you.”

Olivia, who was hiding in the corner, saw the jade bracelet in Old Mr. Smith’s hand. She clenched her fists tightly with her long nails digging into her flesh, but she did not feel any pain.

Previously, she had underestimated Rachel.

She thought that with Rachel’s background, no one would think highly of her in the Smith family, let alone treat her nicely. She did not expect that Rachel could actually coax Old Mr. Smith to give her such a valuable bracelet in private.

Fortunately, Rachel tactfully returned the bracelet.

Otherwise, Olivia thought it would take her a lot of effort to get the bracelet back.

Olivia collected her thoughts and walked in with a smile. “Grandpa Smith.”

At the sight of Olivia, the smile on Old Mr. Smith’s face faded a little. He said calmly, “You’re here.”

It was visible that he was a little displeased by Olivia’s appearance here.

Olivia looked at Old Mr. Smith. Her gaze landed on the document that he handed to Rachel.

On it was clearly written the ‘share transfer agreement‘!

Olivia’s pupils constricted. The smile on her face stiffened slightly, and her eyes widened in disbelief.

Old Mr. Smith wanted to transfer the shares under his name to Rachel?

In terms of background, Olivia was the daughter of the Cruise family, which was well–known in Seaxas, although it wasn’t one of the few wealthy families.

Rachel, however, was just a wild girl from the countryside.

What made her gain so much favor from Old Mr. Smith?
