Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 215

Betrayal At The Altar By Dolores Delia Chapter 215

Stunned, Mary could not help but look at Rachel inquisitively.

When she met Rachel’s cold gaze, she immediately figured out who she was talking about. Mary said with a meaningful smile, “It’s time for the Smith family to go bankrupt!”

Other than the Smith family, Rachel had never mentioned the

kidnapping to anyone else.

Firstly, this was something disgraceful. Secondly, it had been so long, and she didn’t want to make others worry about her.

She had thought it was completely over, but now, someone was attracting her online using the photos as a weapon.

Rachel was shocked at the sight of the photos. Next, she immediately associated them with the Smith family.

She remembered that it was Louis who took care of the aftermath of that incident personally.

Not only did he help the police get the kidnappers, but he also destroyed all information related to that incident. He even cut everyone off from the news to keep her reputation from being ruined.

This man wasn’t a Grey, but he did everything he could to protect her.

Rachel was touched. She also secretly felicitated that she had found a man she could rely on for the rest of her life.

Now, she realized how stupid she was back then.

Whether it was Louis or his family, they only wanted to use her.

For the sake of the Smith family’s future, they would abandon her without hesitation.

They knew how important reputation was to an unmarried woman, but they still treated her so cruelly in order to turn the table.

Being ungrateful was the nature of some people.

When they were in power, they didn’t care who once gave them a hand when they were in difficulty.

Now, the Smith family couldn’t wait to deal her with a heavy blow.

Rachel’s lips curled into a sneer. Her clear, almond–shaped eyes were filled with indifference and coldness.

Once they became doubting, her fate was doomed.

No one would care if she was innocent or not. In their eyes, she had become an evil woman who deserved to die.

She had been abandoned so many times.

If she and David were destined to get their separate ways, she wanted to be the one who offered to break up, not the one who was dumped.

“I know you’re vulnerable and sensitive inside, but it shouldn’t be the reason for you to push me away.”

David sounded a bit annoyed, but what he said touched the softest part of Rachel’s heart like a tiny hook.

She was lost for a while.

Then a magical warmth coming out from her heart spread throughout her body.

“Rae–Rae, let’s get married!”
