Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 247

Chapter 247 Not Interested

Chief Kandor couldn’t help but question Louis’s words. “Are you sure?”

“Chief Kandor, you and I can be considered old acquaintances, so why should I hide it from you when I have a favor to ask of you?” Louis explained

anxiously.

Chief Kandor, who was on the other end of the line, pondered for a moment before he said, “The Shain family asked me to warn you not to do it again!”

Not to do it again…

After Chief Kandor hung up, Louis was puzzled.

Back when Miss Shain got married, the Smith family had prepared a generous congratulatory gift, and even when he was thrown out in the end, he never revealed anything in front of others.

Therefore, it was absolutely impossible that he had offended the Shain family!

Who did he offend?

Not to do it again?

Where did this warning come from?

It was impossible for someone like Rachel to know the Shain family!

His handsome face was covered with an unprecedented solemnity. As he turned around, he happened to see Rachel walking out of the cafe.

“Follow her!” Louis said to the driver without any hesitation.

Rachel was about to open the car door and get in when Louis suddenly appeared. “Rachel!”

Hearing Louis’s voice, a fleeting coldness flashed across Rachel’s eyes as

she turned to look at him.

Louis calmed down and said gently, “I have no other intention. I just wanted to see if there was anything I could do for you.”

“Then please stay away from me in the future!” Rachel looked at him expressionlessly and bent down to get into the car.

Louis did not seem to give up. Just as the car door was about to close, he reached out and stopped it. “Rachel, do you know the Shain family people?”

Upon hearing this, Rachel looked up at him. “I’ve met them a few times.” Louis stood rooted to the ground as he watched Rachel leave. His frown deepened.

“I’ll bring you to change your clothes,” Mary said and started the car.

Mystical Bar.

Probably because the bar had just opened, the bar was unprecedentedly lively.

In the luxurious atmosphere, people indulged themselves on the dance floor, twisting their bodies and exchanging flirtatious glances, like a contest between prey and hunters.

In the booth on the second floor.

Jimmy leaned lazily on the sofa and looked at David sitting in the dark corner. “David, you still haven’t told me how the Smith family offended you.”

Speaking of which, Jimmy had invested in this bar. This new bar started

business today, and he had pulled out all the stops to get David here from his company.

In the end, ever since David arrived, he did not say a word. He just stared at the phone, waiting for something.

David lowered his eyes lazily, looking like he was not interested in anything. “Landon, don’t you think David looks like he’s in love now?!” Jimmy nudged Landon beside him and gave him a meaningful look.

Landon raised his eyes and glanced at David. His lips curled into a secretive smile.
