Chapter 254 Making The Smith Family Bleed 

“Silly girl, how could I blame you?” As he spoke, he pulled Olivia into his arms. and gently wiped away the tears at the corner of her eyes. “Things went wrong in the company recently. Some people wanted to withdraw their investment. I’m still working on it.” 

When Olivia heard this, her eyes flickered slightly. “Including Mr. Zane?” 

Olivia had a dream of being an actress since she was young. She had never 

dealt with business. 

Not like Rachel and her tactics. 

Therefore, when Olivia was curious about business, Louis was happy to answer her questions. 

“It’s a few other investors,” Louis Smith said lightly. “I plan to draw them over to my side.” 

When Mr. Zane publicly provoked him at the board meeting, he realized he should have taken precautions. 

Currently, all the investments were drawn over by Rachel. 

These people trusted in Rachel, and there was no guarantee that one day Rachel would not lobby them to divest and catch him off guard. 

Olivia looked at him guiltily. “I’m sorry. It’s all because of me. If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t have been misunderstood. The board wouldn’t have made things difficult for you.” 

“It’s not your fault.” Louis looked at Olivia in his arms with tenderness and comforted her gently. “But at this stage, it’s not suitable for us to announce our engagement. You might be feeling aggrieved.” 

Olivia snuggled in his arms. “As long as you love me with all your heart and soul, I could take any grievances.”

Olivia smiled and did not say anything. She suddenly thought of something and looked up at Louis. “I heard that Mr. Zane and his wife are deeply in love. Perhaps there’s something we can do about Mrs. Zane?” 

“Mr. Zane only invested because of Rachel’s lobby. Although I don’t know how she did it, Mr. Zane’s investment did bring the Smith Group a lot of 

benefits.” 

Louis did not even realize his eyes were filled with admiration for Rachel 

when he talked about this. 

It was a pain in the neck for Olivia. 

She secretly gritted her teeth and lowered her eyes to hide the coldness in her eyes. “I met Mrs. Zane a few times when I was doing charity work. She seems to be holding a charity auction next month. When the time comes, we’ll go and support her. Perhaps this could be a chance?” 

Louis heard this and smiled. “You are my good wife, always giving me advice at critical moments.” 

“Well, after all, I’m your legitimate fiancée.” Olivia smiled. She raised her head and gently kissed him on his lips.
