Chapter 281 Unbelievable
David had expected that the noise would attract Rachel’s attention. He had even thought of what to say to pacify her.
To his surprise, Rachel chose not to say anything. “Remember to eat on time.”
“I’ll be very busy for the next few days. I might not be able to read your phone messages. Don’t worry. I’ll get home as soon as I can.”
“Okay.” Rachel covered her face partially with the blanket. Only her eyes were visible.
“Good night.”
“Good night.”
After hanging up, Rachel lay on the bed and stared blankly at the ceiling.
She was certain that she was not hearing things when she heard someone asking for his life to be spared.
However, she selfishly thought the other party must have committed an unpardonable sin to make David deal with him so viciously.
That night, Rachel had a dream.
She was back to where she was that night five years ago, where the streets. were raining with bullets. People were shouting in panic everywhere, and the
air was filled with the thick smell of blood.
However, she was resting peacefully in someone’s embrace.
The man whispered in her ear, “Don’t be afraid…”
In the extremely dim environment, Rachel could vaguely see the outline of
the man’s face.
She desperately wanted to see the man’s face clearly, but she could not.
Just then, her phone rang.
Rachel was rudely awakened from her dream.
Instinctively, she reached for the phone on the bedside table.
As soon as she picked up the phone, she heard Mary’s voice from the other end of the phone. “Rae–Rae, I need your help urgently!”
Rachel was woken up by Mary for a trivial matter. Soon, she found herself in a mall.
Mr. Zane’s wife was hosting a charity ball on Friday night.
However, Mary had not found anything she fancied to wear to the ball. “Didn’t you have one made in Paris?” Rachel gave a huge yawn.
“The shipment was delayed for some reason.” Mary looked at Rachel’s listless appearance and suddenly became excited. Her eyes flickered with a knowing look. “Did you have a very intense battle last night?”
Rachel glared at her angrily. “Thanks to you, I stayed up all night to revise the draft design.”
Hearing her answer, Mary rolled her eyes. “You got me excited for nothing.” “You’ve been quite well–behaved recently.” Rachel’s lips curled into a
mischievous smile. “Why haven’t you been bringing your little brothers out for some fun lately?”
Mary blinked innocently. “Rachel, I’m a dignified young lady from a wealthy family. I’m innocent, and my feelings are as pure as snow. Don’t slander me.”
Rachel forced a smile. “What nonsense! Anyone who hears this will find it unbelievable.”
As they spoke, the two of them walked into a clothing store.
Rachel crossed her arms and looked at the gowns in front of her disapprovingly.

Please update the chapters and complete the novel...
Its ridiculouse to think it is normal to love bomb someone for couple of days and then they are in love. They dont know each other at all. So annoying to read. And whats more, to kiss by force is romantic?? How the hell is that romantic?? Cant understand its logic....
