Rachel watched as David drove over. Without any hesitation, she opened the door and slipped inside. 

When the car window slowly rolled up, Louis could make out the face of the man in the car. 

Although it was just a glance from afar, Louis could clearly feel the man’s extraordinary temperament.. 

It was the man he had seen at Best Fry, the man who had taken Rachel away at the Smith Group’s anniversary celebration. 

Could it be that Rachel had been with him since she left the Smith family? 

Was she able to gain a foothold in Seaxas also because of this man?! 

Louis frowned and stared at the car that passed in front of him. 

Suddenly, he clenched his hands on his sides into fists. 

Now that Rachel was determined to fall out with him, she would never agree to attend Mr. Zane’s auction with him. 

“Louis, let’s go too.” Olivia gently tugged at the corner of his shirt. 

Louis retracted his gaze and glanced at her. “I have something to deal with. You can go to the new house first.” 

With that, he opened the car door and drove off. 

David drove very fast and soon stopped at Johnson Corporation. 

As the car stopped steadily, Rachel raised a hand and unbuckled her seatbelt. “I’ll go up first.” 

Before she could touch the handle of the car door, David suddenly leaned forward and grabbed her hand. 

Rachel stared at him in surprise. “What’s wrong?” 

David gazed into her eyes without blinking. His pitch–black eyes seemed to be rubbing against a small flame, illuminating the inexhaustible gentleness hidden in the depths of his eyes. 

With just a glance, Rachel was imprisoned in his eyes and could not escape. 

Her heart beat faster. 

David pressed his lips against her temple and kissed her. His low and cool voice rang in her ear. “I’m also willing to give up all my principles for you.” 

His voice slowly echoed in Rachel’s ears. There was a hint of a casual smile in his 

low voice, hooking her heartstrings and causing ripples in her heart. 

Rachel suddenly understood where his words came from. Her face burned red all the way to her ears, and her heart was hammering loudly. 

“It’s getting late. I have a regular meeting later.” Rachel broke free from his arms and hurried to open the car door to get out. 

However, David quickly grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. 

David held the back of her head and planted a gentle kiss on her lips. “You may leave now.” 

Rachel pursed her lips. “Be careful on your way.” 

“See you tonight,” said David.
