“He’s David Jones, no one from the Four Families in Seaxas is a stranger to him,” Eleanor explained. “Rae–Rae, this person is too dangerous. You can’t be with him.” 

Rachel’s eyes blinked. “However, we’re already engaged.” 

Eleanor choked. 

She stared at Rachel momentarily before suddenly putting on a solemn expression. “Rae–Rae, do you know that marriage with outsiders is forbidden in Aureliana?”
