“After going through all those scandals, Smith Group’s reputation is not as good as before, but things for Johnson Corporation are totally 

different. I didn’t come here only to persuade Mr. Zane to give up on the investment in Smith Group, but also to help Johnson Corporation win your investment.” 

Hearing that, Stuart was completely shocked. 

At this very moment, he felt like even the blood in his veins was completely frozen. His pupils contracted as he stared at Rachel. 

For people in the business world, Johnson Corporation was at the top of the game, beyond everyone’s reach. 

Now, Rachel had given him such an opportunity so straightforwardly. 

But Stuart had been in the business world for decades and he would never give up on his principles after simply hearing a few words from Rachel. 

After dinner, he asked Rachel to have a talk with him in his study. 

“Miss Grey, at that time, you helped Smith Group get those investments and swore to me that Smith Group would be my most successful investment. Now, you want me to withdraw my investment. Aren’t you fooling me? Why should I believe you?!” 

“Because I’m Rachel Grey!” Rachel’s red lips curled into a bright smile as her eyes glistened. “With the current scale of Smith Group, they won’t be half of Johnson Corporation even if they work hard for dozens or even a hundred years. More importantly, without me, how long do you think they can last, Mr. Zane?” 

She was being very straightforward and she was right. 

Back then, the Smith Group was able to rise again and gradually return to the right track only because of Rachel’s contribution. 

You could say she was being arrogant or that she was just very confident, but you had to buy her words and she was quite convincing. 

With the current size and situation of Smith Group, they were just a nobody compared to Johnson Corporation.

that Stuart actually was a well–experienced businessman. 

Stuart stared at her for a moment and finally stood up, saying, “Miss Grey, I’m looking forward to our cooperation.” 

“Hope we can work well together in the future,” Rachel said, shaking hands with Mr. Zane. 

After leaving the study, Rachel walked up to David and said, “Let’s go 

now.” 

Without any hesitation, David wrapped his arm around Rachel’s shoulder and strode toward the door with her. 

Rachel didn’t even get the chance to say goodbye to Eleanor. 

David acted like there was a blood–thirty, scary monster living in the house of the Summers family.
