Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 431

Betrayal At The Altar

Chapter 431

At the same time Olivia left the police station, she saw Jessica walking out of the interrogation room next door.

She was slightly stunned at first, but still walked up to Jessica, poised. “I did not expect to see you again after so many years.”

Jessica sneered sarcastically. She then walked around Olivia and headed toward the exit.

Olivia, however, was not bothered by her cold attitude. She chased after Jessica. “Are you alone? Why don’t I drive you back?”

Before Olivia could finish her sentence, she saw a Mercedes-Benz S approaching them.

The car window slowly rolled down, revealing Adrian’s face.

Jessica raised her eyebrows when she saw him. She then turned to a surprised Olivia, who was standing beside her. “No need.”

With that, Jessica walked down the steps, opened the door, and got into Adrian’s

car.

Olivia only recovered from her shock when the two of them had left.

Everything that had been troubling her seemed to clear up at this moment.

That explained why the couple in Pollister suddenly became famous overnight when they had been low profile for the past 5 years.

It was because Jessica had got herself a sugar daddy!

And that sugar daddy was none other than Adrian Johnson.

Not only did he lead the list of the top 10 famous lawyers in the country. He was also the second son of the Johnson family, the richest family in Seaxas.

How did Jessica get such luck?

In the car, Jessica received a call from Rachel.

Rachel’s crisp voice sounded over the phone, “You’re out?”

“Yes,” Jessica replied lazily.

“When is the trial?” Rachel asked.

Jessica replied, “There will be a public trial in 2 weeks.”

“I’ll be there with you that day,” Rachel said, then paused. “We will be filming the promotional video tomorrow. I’ll get someone to pick you up at 9 o’clock.”

Upon hearing that, Adrian’s expression changed drastically in an instant. He immediately jumped off the bed and hurriedly put on his clothes. “Why did he faint?”

“I can’t explain it clearly over the phone. Go to the hospital now!”

“Okay.”

After hanging up, Adrian rushed to the door. Then, as if suddenly recalling something, he stopped. He turned to look at Jessica, who was lying on the bed. “Wait for me to come back!”

Rachel was sitting on a bench in the corridor when Adrian arrived at the hospital.

Rachel’s head hung low. Her hair draped over her face and obscured her face. Nonetheless, she was gripping the sides of her chair so tightly that her knuckles had turned blue and white.

Upon closer inspection, she was trembling uncontrollably.

“Rae-Rae.” Adrian quickly walked over.

Upon hearing his voice, Rachel looked up with a jolt. Her crisp voice carried a hint

of (h o* rseness). “Adrian.”

Adrian walked over and hugged her. He gently stroked her head with his palm. “How is he?”

“They are still resuscitating him inside,” Rachel choked. “The doctor said that grandfather had a cerebral infarction. Fortunately, they discovered it in time.”
