Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 500

Chapter 500

Rachel chuckled. There was a hint of mockery in her eyes. “What’s the value of an abandoned pawn worth the Shain family taking the risk for?”

Old Mr. Shain had made his stance clear ever since he left.

Why would Old Mr. Shain risk his entire family’s future for Hannah if he had chosen to give her up?

Hannah staggered and almost fell to the ground when she heard that.

That’s right. Now the Shain family had dumped her. Why would they risk offending the Johnson family to protect her?

Rachel admired Hannah’s ashen face for a while and said coldly, “Miss Shain, you have backbone and courage. Naturally, you can bear the consequences of your words! You still have to take off your clothes!”

Then she supported Old Mr. Johnson and turned to leave.

Rachel did not plan to let her take off her clothes at first. She just wanted to wait for Old Mr. Johnson to appear at the right time.

In this way, the Johnson family had established its authority in front of others and sold a favor to the Shain family.

Unexpectedly, not only did Hannah refuse to accept it, she even cursed the Johnson family and insulted Rachel. Then, Hannah would definitely have to pay the price for what she said.

Hannah had asked for it!

When Old Mr. Johnson left with Rachel, he vaguely heard the sound of clothes tearing behind them.

He frowned slightly and quickly left while holding Rachel’s hand.

The farce lasted until Thomas arrived later.

Hannah was trapped in the crowd. Her clothes were torn off, and she hugged her gown tightly with both hands. Anyone who saw her like this would feel sorry for her.

However, now that Thomas knew the cause of the matter, he could not feel any pity for Hannah, his cousin.

He walked into the crowd, took off his suit jacket, and wrapped it around Hannah. “Thomas…” Hannah could no longer control her aggrieved tears at the sight of Thomas.
