Betrayal At The Altar (Rachel and David) novel Chapter 510

Chapter 510

Mary played another stroke, but she missed the hole this time.

When it was Rachel’s turn to play, Mary held the cue stick with both hands and continued to say, “Just now, when you weren’t around, Shane from the fourth branch of the Page family was being a blabbermouth. Not only did he talk about you behind your back, but he also talked about Sophia. Lucas and I got back at him for you.”

Rachel arched her eyebrow. “What did Shane say?”

Due to the relationship between the fourth branch of the Page family and Eleanor Johnson, it was inevitable to hear some rumors about the Johnson family.

However, Rachel was a little curious about what Shane had said to make Lucas angry.

Mary’s eyebrows twitched slightly. “Do you like to get upset? Since Shane was discussing behind your back, it must’ve been something bad.”

It was obvious that Mary did not intend to let Rachel hear those filthy words.

Sensing Mary’s intention, Rachel did not continue to ask. Instead, Rachel looked up at Lucas.

Lucas sat lazily on the black leather sofa with his arm resting on the backrest. The sleeves of his white shirt were rolled up to his arms, revealing his muscular forearms. His clean and slender fingers were holding a cigarette.

Amidst the smoke, Lucas’ exquisite face could be vaguely seen.

As if sensing Rachel’s gaze, Lucas suddenly looked up.

The moment Lucas’ gaze met Rachel’s, the fierceness in his eyes disappeared, and a hint of gentleness appeared.

Lucas put out the cigarette in his hand and walked toward Rachel with one hand in his pocket. “How about we play a round?”

“Sure.” Rachel held the cue stick with one hand and tapped the cue stick with her fingertips. She raised her eyebrows and looked at Lucas. A meaningful smile flashed across the depths of her pretty eyes. “What’s the bet?”

Lucas wiped the cue stick with a chalk cube and said casually, “Up to you.”

“In that case, the limited edition Aventador-J in your garage.”

Actually, that was not the most expensive car in Lucas’ garage. However, it was a limited edition car, and there was only one in the world.

Only such a unique car would be worthy of David.

Lucas’ eyebrows twitched fiercely, but his eyes were filled with doting indulgence. “You win!”
