Betrayal At The Altar

Chapter 572

The smile on Olivia’s face dissipated a little. She pursed her lips and looked a little aggrieved.

Bertha saw all of this. The gentleness in her eyes faded a little, and there was a sharpness in her eyes. She asked casually. “Louis, if you have any requests or opinions, you can say them. After all, the marriage is between you and Olivia. As parents, our opinions are for reference only.”

Louis suddenly came back to his senses. He looked up at Bertha and then at the slightly aggrieved Olivia. He frowned imperceptibly. After pondering for a long time, he said in a low voice, “…”

Before he could finish, Mrs. Smith interrupted, “Of course, Louis has no objections. He dreamed of marrying Olivia. After all these years, he finally got what he wanted. I’m afraid he’ll wake up laughing in his dreams tonight. Isn’t that right, Louis?”

Mrs. Smith looked at Louis with a warning gaze.

Louis was slightly stunned. He nodded and replied indifferently, “Yes.”

Upon hearing this, Mr. and Mrs. Cruise, along with Olivia, had a slightly better look on their face.

During the meal, Olivia clearly noticed that Louis was distracted.

She lowered her head to hide the coldness in her eyes. Her fingers that were holding the fork were pale, revealing the forbearance and restraint in her heart.

Actually, during the entanglement between Louis and Rachel just now, she was hiding in the dark and watching clearly.

In the past, she had only guessed that Louis had some feelings for Rachel, but that was just a guess.

However, Louis’ absent-minded state confirmed her guess.

Men were indeed born despicable!

They wouldn’t cherish when they got something they wanted, but when they lost it, they started to regret it.

Even if Louis had feelings for Rachel now, Olivia would never allow anyone to shake her status as Louis’

wife!

However, a shotgun wedding…

Olivia’s hand hidden under the table fell quietly to her belly, and a touch of grief swept across her eyes.

At this moment, Bertha picked up a piece of fish and placed it in her bowl. “Have a try. This fish is very fresh.”

Olivia came back to her senses and smiled faintly. “Thank you, Mom.”

She noticed Bertha’s meaningful gaze and glanced at Louis, who was sitting opposite her. She pursed her lips and said, “Louis, you try it too.”

As she spoke, she picked up a piece of fish with her fork and placed it on the plate in front of Louis.

Unexpectedly, Louis did not even look at it but put it in his mouth directly.

In the next second, his expression suddenly changed. He covered his neck and coughed drily.

“Hey, what’s going on?” Bertha looked at Louis worriedly.

Mrs Smith was so nervous that she jumped out of her seat. She patted Louis’ back hard. “Did you get stuck by fishbone?”

Louis nodded. He straightened his neck and swallowed his saliva. The veins on his forehead bulged, which could tell that he was extremely painful.

Mr. Smith hurriedly stood up. “Quick, let’s go to the hospital!”

The group hurriedly left the private room.

Their hasty movements attracted countless people’s attention. The two managers who happened to be standing in front of Heavenly Private Room and waiting for instructions also saw the scene.

“What’s going on?” asked one of the managers.

Richard and Mr. Smith could not help but be stunned when they saw the two managers.

Who the hell was in Heavenly Private Room that was worth two managers personally waiting at the door?

Louis and Olivia knew very well who was in Heavenly Private Room.

Coincidentally, a command came from the managers earpiece. The two managers hurriedly walked in.

The moment the door was pushed open, the group of people outside the private room curiously craned their necks to look over.
